John Edwards is practicing the POLITICS OF HYPOCRISY
Watch this video and tell me he's not a hypocrite? Or is he going to apologize and say he was wrong for this too like co-sponsoring the IWR?

1. You really think that hypocrisy is an unusual feature in a candidate?
Or that you can find one without any?

2. "We must not allow Saddam to have nuclear weapons"
Edited on Sat Nov-03-07 08:34 PM by lamprey
"winning the peace" By 2003, none of the security assessments suggested that Saddam has a Nuclear Weapons program. That much had been shot down in congressional hearings.

22. Apparently he wants a "decisive" president.
One who clings tenaciously to his beliefs, even in the face of evidence to the contrary.

Oh wait, he already has one...

36. It was not OK to join Bush in his push for war in 2002-03
And please explain how Edwards knew that Saddam had WMDs?

Edwards was either lying or showing some horrible judgement.

owning up to what exact convinced him to support Bush in his push for war in 02'& 03'.

Edited on Sat Nov-03-07 08:44 PM by goodgd_yall
In that campaign there was no runaway frontrunner. If you want to be president and you are in a 2-digit percentage points behind the frontrunner, you focus on the frontrunner and point out his or her weaknesses. HRC would do the same thing if she was falling behind.

My candidate isn't at 11% in the polls and so bankrupt that he had to take public financing and shoot his general election chances in the foot because of it.

instead of working exclusively for the good of himself like JE..... Real impressive seeing how well he is doing in the polls. In fact ALL of the other candidates are still working for the people while campaigning - and JE still just is working exclusively to help his ego.

It is this vapid and empty drifting in and out of threads, just to stir the shit up, just to demean the discourse.

46. "Who are you?" This is an open board and this is an open thread
Too bad, yet another JE fan launched a viscous personal attack just because somebody has a different opinion than you do. JE fans really seem to get personal and nasty pretty quickly....I think it is because they support JE on a more emotional level than intellectual. Obviously if you look at things like record, experience and judgment, JE doesn't cut it.

43. No, John is a great candidate for those that don't care about
things like RECORD, EXPERIENCE and JUDGEMENT CAPABILITIES. They seem to respond more like children than adults using reasoning and facts to back their candidate. They (you) seem to attack on a personal level, since they (you) don't have a factual basis to use to argue on.

John Edwards is a phony. He'll say whatever it takes to get elected. Hillary is in his way so he'll slime her for stuff he does himself. So much for the positive approach he pretended to have in the video you linked to.
