Iowa a toss up
According to one of the T.V. Stations today, Iowa is a toss up between Edwards, Hillary and Oboma.

3. The latest from ARG
has Clinton at 32, Obama at 22 and Edwards at 15.

I haven't seen any poll showing Edwards leading in Iowa.

He has nevere been behind. can't believe the polls until the last days of the election, then they are usually true, at leat Dan Rathers reporting was usually very close. Wonder what he is saying about IOwa.

10. Well
I don't know that there have been any polls done entirely after the last debate in Iowa.

But to say he's never been behind is simply untrue. All polls show him behind right now.

8. I wouldn't count out another candidate coming from the back of the pack
to place at least in the top three.

17. Biden is the only one other than Hillary whose #s have been going up in Iowa.
If Richardson's, Dodd's and Kucinich's supporters go to Biden he could very well place in the top 3.

13. In that case all 3 better be praying the Joe Biden doesn't come in 3rd.
Or someone is going to be out of the running. Remember, he's got more endorsements in Iowa than Edwards and just one less than Obama. He's the only candidate so far who's been endorsed by an Iowan newspaper. He's got a lot of support there and Iowa is the place that is most likely to befuddle the polls and pundits. Even if he only comes in 4th the momentum will make him a top tier candidate. If Hillary comes in 1st and Biden in 3rd or 4th, Biden's rise will be the top story. If Edwards or Obama come in 1st, the Biden story will still be the 2nd top story of the outcome. And the one thing that none of the other three can compete with him on is experience. If the question becomes, are you experienced, Joe will be most qualified to borrow Jimi's line, "I am."

20. Excellent analysis.
And I totally agree. If Biden comes in 3rd, then whoever isn't in 1st or 2nd is in BIG trouble.

And if Biden comes in 4th, then that splits the rest of the campaign down the middle - the top 4 will battle it out until the last delegate is selected - while the other 4 become increasingly unimportant to the race.

Furthermore, if Dodd throws his support to Biden sometime down the line after Iowa, it will bolster Bidens' campaign even more. And I think Dodd's positions on the issues mirror Biden's positions more closely than with any of the other candidates.

I don't know how much support Richardson could add to Biden later, but I think he might even give his support to Biden sometime down the line after Iowa. The longer Richardson stays in the race, the more impact his support of Biden will be later.

18. Not only that, but there's only 60 days to go until they hold their caucus!
I don't think it will be very long after that when the "Hillary is the bestest" crowd will quiet down quite a bit.

I just don't think Hill will win in Iowa.
