I think Kerry and Edwards should exclude themselves from the debates
We know that Kerry will win, perhaps Edwards has a chance too. We know that these electable candidates aren't going to say something that will upset the corporate media - no talk of breaking up media monopolies for instance. Kerry and Edwards should exclude themselves from the debates - we already know what they are going to say.

We need to restrict the debates to Sharpton and Kucinich, since they obviously represent the future of the party. Even if they never run again, it will be their ideas that animate the democratic discussion in 2008. I know, people will say Edwards and Kerry have a right to be in the debate, and we don't want to exclude the DLC's viewpoint, but it's serious now. Real issues need to be discussed and debate, and the alpha male phallus contest that results when you can't talk about actual issues is a waste of our time.

Please, Kerry, Edwards - stick to the TV commercials. Leave the debates to those candidates that have something to say.

3. Good one.
This is really funny and in the long run very true IMO however, like you, I would never exclude any of them.

4. ROFLMAO
"alpha male phallus contest"--love it.

Don't exclude them. Just keep the time, questions, and attention equal. Given equal airtime, the cream of actual issues will rise to the top. ahem.

5. Best. Post. Ever.
I wonder if any of those calling for Kucinich and Sharpton's exclusion will care to comment?

Great post, WCTV!

6. Gonna put that on the wall and frame it:
"alpha male phallus contest"

Nice to get up this morning and read that!! So different from "If you don't vote for Kerry you are voting for Boosh" and "Edwards is really so experienced, really he is," and the other gunk that is passing for discussion on this board.

One request: CAN WE PUT THIS ON THE BOARD FIVE MORE TIMES? Equal time and bandwidth, ya know.

I'm not having real positive feelings about the establishment candidates right now. Thanks for the opportunity to vent a little.:)
