Graham says he would accept VP slot
Graham open to VP position 2/20/2004

Florida's senior senator might get his chance at the White House.

Sen. Bob Graham (D-Fla.) dropped out of the presidential race last October, but said yesterday that he's open to accepting the vice president slot on the Democratic ticket.

The Democratic front-runner for the party's nomination, Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), said in December that Graham would make a solid running mate.

Yesterday, his campaign said it's premature for Kerry to discuss a vice presidential pick.

State Democratic party chairman Scott Maddox predicted Graham would deliver Florida's 27 electoral votes if on the ticket, saying his expertise in domestic security and intelligence would prove too attractive for voters to ignore.

2. My take
I think that Grahm Dropped out to early. Offering the slot to Clark or Edwards might be more effective. On the other hand Clark and Edwards might assume that they could do better and be less interested in being Kerry's Second Banana.

Frankly although I know this is a fantasy for a lot of reasons, a Kerry Kucinich ticket would be nice. Kucinich is very strong on Domestic affairs; while Kerry is strong on defense and the war on terror. Plus they are both K words which makes them naturally funny. Still it's quite impossible as I understand.
