1. Your list of no-shows explains why the total was lower this time. Thanks.

18. sorry, not a good excuse.
generally speaking, actually voting is one of the most important things our elected reps do. you see, they count all these votes and the side with more votes wins. our soldiers don't get to go home for birthin' babies, why should he? what the hell ever happened to patriotism, statesmanship, and sacrifice? i mean, we're talking about overriding a veto here, aren't we?

There is no excuse for this crap, other than Wyden, I really want to hear why they can't DO THEIR JOBS.

13. Even if the passage of this was a "given" - I applaud Joe for demonstrating
how seriously he takes his voting responsibility.

He's said before that there are some things worth losing a campaign over, and he's to cancel a campaign appearance to do what's RIGHT.

Again, another gesture on Joe's part that makes me more certain than ever that I'm backing the right person!

14. I'm getting warmer in my liking for Biden!
I have been for Edwards, and I still like him, altho I am paying lots more attention to Biden lately. I knew he had the smarts, esp on foreign policy, but I just thought he didn't have the political stuff (not from a big state, been in the senate a long time, his aneurism, which shouldn't be an issue but...).

Hillary and Obama should have been voting, period. There is NO excuse, I'm sorry.
