Up to the point where Dean took the lead, the "tone" of most of the other candidates was one of being "repub-lite". Their support base didn't start to swell until they changed their tone to more closely align with Dean.

bush* has taken a beating in the past 6-weeks, not only from his own "stumbles" but also because people have gotten energized and found validation for their anger

if the candidates revert to "repub-lite" - all that energy is going to disappear

Kerry and Edwards have got to keep up that energy level - the only way to beat bush* is to keep him off balance with little time to recoup and regroup

story front and center.

to realize that they only taken seriously when they exhibit some spine, instead of trying to act like a coherent clone of Skidmark*.
