Ya knew Bush was asking for trouble in making a visit to a National Guard unit.

The joke about Kerry and Kennedy was pretty funny too.

1. There's a REALLY good underlying thing about these

The AWOL thing has STUCK and is universally recognized. It is now a joke that everyone knows. Doesn't matter if it goes no further than it has already. No candidate has to even TOUCH it. Bush & Co. could put out pictures of Bush in uniform, holding a newspaper dated 1972, standing in front of with the Alabama State Capital and it won't stop the jokes. This is far, far, better than any document or witness that would come forward.

So kewl.

Now we don't have to work so hard to keep it out there, the public is doing it for us.

4. We haven't found that "smoking gun" issue...

that we've thought so many times had come, and then had our hopes dashed. But I think the drip, drip is having an effect that I hope is profound and lasting.
