What's up with all the Ron Paul signs in Philly?
And kudos to the dude that just ran up to Matthews and yelled "All US troops out of Iraq now! No more blood for oil!"

TO which Matthews responded, "I agree with the sentiment..."

1. I think Ron Paul support is generally a good sign.
All it symbolizes is Republicans who have turned against the war, domestic spying and insane spending of Bush. Pretty much anybody who was ever tempted to be a Dem is a dem now, because of Bush: I don't think the guy is stealing votes.

7. He may be redefining Republican identity for the 21st century.
But other that the war, he's got a lot of ass backward ideas.

2. Ron Paul is running big snowjob campaign.
And he is doing well with it. He is a one noter. Out of Iraq. People who don't pay a lot of attention hear that and think he's a savior. College students seem to be falling hard for it.

Would he make a third party run when he loses the repub nominee?

9. He believes life starts at conception and should be protected from then.
I don't know about Dobson and Paul, I'm not sure about his religion, but he is very conservative/libertarian on his views. He would love to ban abortions.

11. If he wants to ban abortions, then he isn't libertarian.
From what I've read, libertarians want the government out of personal decisions.

20. He is mostly Libertarian, but very conservative.
He is dangerous because he keeps his true beliefs shrouded behind his America first--out of Iraq--- one issue.

Once people find out what he really stands for, his support will vanish.

It does show how eager America is for a truly anti-war candidate. Hillary, Obama and Edwards should take notice.

3. I have seen more and more Ron Paul signs popping up
Especially in the "college towns". I really don't get it. Ron Paul is wrong on every issue out there besides the illegal occupation and the USA Fascist Act.

16. Aw, cut em some slack. I used to be a Libertarian myself.
Its a youthful idea, that you can just make power go away and then everything will be fine. They don't understand that cutting federal power that much will result in a power vacuum, that a corporate conglomerate/trade union/crime syndicate/religion will just move in and fill the void. But they have a lot of energy, they want to take responsibility and solve problems themselves, they are sick of feeling powerless. Their hearts are in the right place, so we should try and engage them.

12. How is it they tend to skew Republican?
From what I've seen they tend to love abortions and same-sex circle jerks.

13. Which makes them different from Republicans how?
Republicans have a 'fine for me but not for thee' philosophy about those things.

Although, Ron Paul is anti-choice.

15. I recently read that he's raised a lot more money than anyone expected.
He has commercials on in Boston, to reach the NH market. The ads show people from NH saying that they like what Paul has to say.

A libertarian philosophy plays very well in NH, which means there is a possibility of him getting enough votes in the primary to propel him into the big time.

(Sorry, no link to what I read about him; I don't remember where I read it.)

19. I have to admit I like how he's rankling the Republicans
But I wish he could do it without his dumbass supporters annoying the hell out of me.

*sigh* I suppose that isn't possible.
