While President Bush continues to send jobs overseas, Senator John Kerry today received the endorsement of the AFL-CIO, the heart and soul of working America. Kerry rallied with hundreds of workers and labor leaders to underscore the need for a change of leadership to put the economy back on track and to create new and better jobs across America.

“We’ve had three years of national priorities that placed the special interests of corporations and the wealthy over those of regular workers and their families,” said AFL-CIO President John Sweeney. “John Kerry will lead us in our fight to make creating good jobs America’s number one priority.”
The AFL-CIO is the umbrella organization of sixty-four labor unions, representing more than 13 million American workers. In 2004, the union plans to gear up for the earliest and biggest member mobilization in their history.

Over the past week, Kerry has traveled across America talking to workers about the devastating impact of the Bush economy on middle class families and his plans to put America back on track. Kerry has outlined his plan to restore the American economy, beginning with the repeal of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and helping middle class families who are working hard to cover the mortgage, pay the high cost of health care, childcare and tuition, or just trying to get ahead.

1. Dupe.
About three threads on this at the moment.
Of course, none of them were his official press release. Just news reports.
