Kerry Supporters: How are you supporting JK?

I'm planning on going to my first Kerry MeetUp next week--it's actually set to be fucking huge. A ton of people have reserved.

Have you donated? I think I'm going to start making myself a donor once Super Tuesday results cement Kerry's position (assuming they do).

What else? (Arguing with the determined Bush-enablers and other assorted narcissists on DU doesn't count.)

so not to confuse with the late president. although i found it interesting that many who complain about any use of JFK when talking about kerry had no problem with it being used when discussing alleged affairs.

as for your questions, may i ask what state you are from ? i think how a person can help can depend on what state they are from.

i'm guessing you can do something like help get people to the polls if they need it. but i'm thinking most people in connecticut wont have that problem. i would just say attend the meetup as you plan, check out his website and go to the link for specific states to connecticut and see what they are up to. i'm really not sure as i have never actively worked on a campaign before. i'm hoping more experienced people can give some tips.

15. Going to my first meetup next week too

Haven't donated any money yet (though I literally have a giant bucket of change--over $200 buck that will go to the Dem nominee--and heck I may eventually double that).

I went to polls in 2 surrounding towns to check turnout at 10 and 1 for the campaign. In between made some calls urging people to get to the polls and vote for JK.

I'm the volunteer coordinator for my area, so I try to do anything that's needed, but here's a couple things...

Attend and host Meetups since June
Have a yahoo message board for Kerry
Speak at local colleges
Organize primary watch parties
Locate housing for staffers
Find drivers and volunteers for rallies
Act as a point person / filter between the campaign and volunteers
Several interviews with local media
Written letters and made phone calls to people with early primaries
Caucus chair for our delegate selection pre-primary caucus
Delegate to national convention
Tabled at events

Does forgoing sleep count? Seriously, I try to do anything I can to help the Kerry campaign. It makes me crazy when I hear everyone who supports Kerry is jumping on the bandwagon or that he doesn't have true grassroots support. I'm in it for the long haul.
