Despite the furor: Clinton, Obama in Statistical Tie in Iowa, Poll Finds


Will it be Clinton by default or will Obama pull it off? We'll know in three months.

To be fair, this is before the Obama concert furor.

may not have registered. Still, Obama is close. Will this furor change his support and make it Clinton by default?

This is more evidence of the fact that Obama is not a seasoned campaigner. He is learning the ropes regarding national campaigns and their many, many pitfalls. A thoughtless moment can reap recrimination from one group or another. He will make more such mistakes before he learns how this works.

5. That is not what I said.

I said "Silence is golden" meaning Obama should have been silent, i.e., not had this very noisy anti-gay spokesperson speak for Obama. It was not smart for Obama to put himself out on a limb with the anti-gay guy. Obama should have stayed silent on the issue and so should the anti-gay guy.


I'm tired and am sorry I am not very clear today.
