I mean who would have expected back in '08 that Thompson/Santorum would win? I'm still shocked that Rudy blew the nomination at the convention. He was only 98 votes shy of the nomination for crying out loud! But after he was caught in the motel with Coulter and the goat .... well we know how that went over with the RW croud.

Not that our convention was a love fest. When Obama pulled Hillary's pants off during the "unity" breakfest, it was just down hill from there. And poor Dennis! After 27 ballots he finally got the nomination. But VP Carrot Top? I still have nightmares!

To think after all that Thompson would be the stable one?

I'll just wait for 2016. I think by then Sen. Paris Hilton will be ready.
