Dear Mr. McMahon,
I will not be sending money to the Democratic Party as a whole this election cycle. I feel too many Democratic officeholders and candidates do not hold progressive ideals. After the recent election it was my expectation that those Democrats we elected would stand up for the American people and more importantly the United States Constitution. This has not been the case. Time and again the Democratic majority in Congress has not even mounted a token resistance to the the continuing destruction of our government and way of life. On top of this all, the war in Iraq grinds on. The leadership's claim of being a powerless majority do not ring true. Therefore I must believe that there is either incompetence or collusion with the criminal administration in the people we elected.

I also am greatly disturbed by the undue influence of the DLC (Republican Light) wing of the party. These democrats in name only have made many statements recently about how my fellow progressives and I do not represent the majority of the American people. I disagree and to add strength to my statement, I will only be donating money to those Democratic candidates who promise to begin to restore our country.

Please relay my thoughts to Chairman Dean, who recently has seemed to be backing off the strong ideals of our party which he has so ably defended in the past.
