Why pick John when you can still have Howard?
Dean's on the ballot in every state. If you can spell PATRIOT, IWR or 9/11, there is no reason not to vote for him and give him delegates and weight at the convention. It's not like it makes a difference which John gets to front the regime rotation agenda.

2. No.
What difference does Edwards vs. Kerry make?

Okay, one of them wins. And then it's ABB. (For me a matter of pulling a lever, but if you want to show more enthusiasm go ahead.)

Meanwhile, I say it's more important to have more Dean delegates at the convention than to decide between Iraq war supporters who are equally predictable in that both are guaranteed to always follow the path of least political resistance.

Stick by your guns...like a fire raging in the sun:

"It's not like it makes a difference which John gets to front the regime rotation agenda."

Brilliant. Can we get that on a bumper sticker? Can we whip it up into a campaign slogan? Can we take it into our schools and old age homes to inspire the weakest amongst us? Youth...unions...soccer Moms and Nascar dads, vets, time to rally round the message that the absolutely only thing you can do between now and election day that will have even the teeniest, tiniest impact on bettering your life and your nation is to do exactly as we, the the most righteous and purest of hearts, want you to do.

12. so what's more important to you?
inspiration or truth?

At any rate, I said nothing like what you are attributing to me in your last sentence. And I was writing here. I wasn't writing a campaign slogan, or making an appeal to fictional feel-good demographics (soccer dads, NASCAR wives), or speaking to a school or an old age home - I've done at least one of the latter. Have you?

19. Since the primaries appear to be over, and I'm sitting in the
god forsaken forty-ninth state and it doesn't matter anyway since its all been front loaded and Delaware settled it for all of us, I think you should vote Dean if you want to. I will vote Clark and in the general, vote ABB.

For heavensake, honey. DO what you think is right. It won't count in the end yet but it might make the front runner think about what dean believes in if the votes for him hold true.

3. I'm not sure that would give him that much weight at the convention
Remeber- he was 2nd in terms of delegates, and he dropped out anyway.

I still think the Dean people would be better served voting for Kucinich, but maybe I'm just biased.

4. I'm on it
It's fairly obvious that Kerry's got this thing in the bag --- he's ahead something like 30 percentage points in my state anyway, so it's not like I'm going to undermine anything. All I ever wanted was to be able to vote for Dean in my primary, and I'm happy to still have the opportunity to do that.

22. That may actually be a good thing.

It's quite possible that the nominee will be decided by then, which means very few people will show up and vote. Your vote will carry a lot of weight in that case. Ironically, I think a knockout by Kerry would result in Dean getting a lot of the delegates, but this Dean supporter doesn't want to see it happen.

edit:clarify

10. And the media are going to try to
destroy both Edwards and Kerry between now and the convention. I am glad Dean is still in, so he can step back in if needed. Plus I intend on voting for him in our primary in May. My support (read that vote ONLY) will come in Nov. for the eventual nominee. That's all the party unity I have to give, since the party united against my candidate. My "unity" is only because we need regime change in 2004 - 4 more years of shrub would ruin our country.

13. I'll be voting for 3 Dean delegates.
in IL, the process involves voting for the candidate (preference) an also voting for a slate of delegates in your Congressional district (the REAL vote). Sen. Edwards only has 4 delegates slated in my district, so I'll be voting for 3 Dean delegates, to round out my 'choose 7' part of the ballot.

24. My vote will depend on the results of Super Tuesday
I'm in IL, so I can't vote until the 16th. If John Edwards picks up more delegates than Kerry on Super Tuesday, then I will vote for him to help him out in my state. If not, I'll vote for Dean.

26. I'm going to vote for Kucinich on March 2,

but I have accepted the Democratic voting trend that says Kerry will be the nominee, with Edwards having a bit of a shot at it.

Kerry wasn't my first pick but that doesn't mean I can't support him. After the convention, we should all support the Democratic nominee. A lot of Dean supporters are saying they won't do that, and that's unfortunate. We were always told that Dean was bringing in new voters but apparently he wasn't bringing in voters who were loyal to the party, just personal followers.

As much evil as Bush has done, so far he hasn't named anyone to the Supreme Court. He may be able to do that before the election, though, as there are two or three who'd like to retire. Others could probably be persuaded to retire, too. What if Bush adds four or five justices as conservative as Thomas or Scalia? I hope he wouldn't dare do that before the election. But in a second term, thoughts of re-election would no longer trouble him.

Electing the Democratic nominee in November is essential. You should vote Democratic unless you would like to try living the rest of your life in a country with a Bush-appointed majority on SCOTUS.
