The source of the problem is the rich and near rich. We need a Boston Tea Party for every enitity that has the well heeled in ownership. Boycott the corps and companies that the rich are part of. A busines boycott would scare of hell out of the monied ....but they know the suckers (middleclass/poor) will not cooperate and stand up to them...so why should they worry? Those who are comfortable need a wake up call from the rest of this nation.

1. "Those who are comfortable" likely have
what scratchings of a nest egg they have been able to amass tied up in the stocks of the companies you want to overthrow.

2. Good luck getting the mainstream masses to cooperate;............
they're the same ones that allowed this to happen in the first place.

17. It isn't rocket science to tell what is going on if one pays attention
and there are others that can see what I'm talking about that probably a lot more successful.

19. If we elected Edwards he'd probably be assassinated like Kennedy
Money does terrible things to people's morality. Just watch when someone dies...the fight for wealth of the dead individual.

9. When They're Broke And Starving
For fifteen years I've watched in shock as the middle class tolerates, and even cheers on, their own evisceration. I don't think they'll get a clue until they're literally starving - as was the case in the 1920s/1930s.

10. Unfortunately, the middle-class is so devoted to decorum....
they may never get it.

That's what's going on with the Democrats in Congress who don't dare to take a tough stand and turn on anyone who does. It's all about maintaining proper middle-class decorum, which precludes any strong emotions, tough stands, etc.

11. All of the rich people in America are not the enemy....just
as we cannot lump other groups together we cannot lump the rich together.

What needs to happen is the regulation of Corporations. These Corporations have grown by leaps and bounds becuase of Reaganoic deregulation.

There are some people that are really successful and have earned their money.

16. There must also be a place for those in society that do not have
the assets or skills to survive in this system. Outsourcing jobs was one of the dumbest things this country did. Until you are forced to train your replacement overseas it won't mean much to you will it?

20. Oh don't get me wrong...I have a huge problem with
Corporations Outsourcing.....they are greedy bastards and do not care about America.

I guess my point is there are a lot of hard working Americans who have earned their millions or whatever they possess.

In turn we should be trying to pull the rest of our citizens out of poverty and into opportunites to live comfortable lives.

Outsourcing is one of the greatest threats to the Middle Class and America's future.

18. the well to do should not be allowed to make laws and business
Edited on Wed Oct-24-07 11:05 PM by Stargazer99
deals that short change the citizens in their country. The anti-abortionist should be made to stop making policy especially for the poor. The poor are the ones that mainly die for this country, not the well to do in their colleges because they have better things to do like 5 times deferred Cheney and never seen the front line Bush. Home grown supply of cannon fodder because the RW fundies are "pro-life". Fits right into the well to do program. No not every one who is rich is the source of the problem, but when a man cannot support his family because he can't find decent paying work something is rotten. Now bring out the old saw that the poor do it to themselves...what do you really know that contributes to poverty? Not a damn thing because if it was really studied to find a solution and what causes poverty the society's state of denial would be in great danger and they can't handle the truth.
