How's The Fux Business Channel Doing? LMAO!
I'm sorry, but is this channel even taking off? It looks to be an utter flop. Perhaps I'm wrong, but it reminds me of when Fux News tried their Daily Show parody shows which both went down the crapper. I haven't heard a thing about Fux Business Channel except an ad on a bus, and seeing that it's channel 200-something on cable, not to mention seeing CNBC pulling out all the stops to trample them, just in case.

So what's the latest? What's going on? Facts? Thoughts? Comments?

1. They're going to pull out all the stops to ensure success.
Look for their special on what to do when stocks go down the crapper. It will feature Bill O'Reilly taking a dump on a picture of Keith Olbermann for a visual.

2. I usually watch CNBC all day, every day.
It is hard for me to imagine how much further to the right Fox could get with their business channel. For instance, CNBC has Jack Welch on this morning. My first thought on seeing him was "is he still relevant?" Well, obviously CNBC thinks so. I believe I heard Jack say that the media is pushing "gloom and doom" on the consumer all the time by telling us how bad off we are. I'm certainly not getting this message from the media, but rather the opposite. I keep hearing that "things" aren't too bad out here in the real world.

I was struck this morning (again) with the disconnect between CNBC and what the government is preaching about savings in this country. We are constantly being told that we as individuals aren't saving enough. However, one of the "pushes" this morning was how much an individual was going to spend on Christmas this year ($500 versus $800 for online shopping). Isn't CNBC getting their talking points on saving yet? Obviously not. :)

4. Ratings won't be out for 3 to 6 months is what I read
Although last week, for whatever reason, CNBC's ratings took a hit which would seem to indicate that people who can get the Fox Biz channel are watching it. But it doesn't have the coverage yet on most cable systems or it's up on "tiers" that you have to pay extra to get. Cut to the chase: it's too early to tell how it's doing ratings wise.

7. Look for on-screen graphics advertising it during the World Series starting tonight
Fox did that during the ALCS. I guess they figure the hardcore sports fans is part of the target demo for the dumbed down business coverage they offer.

10. While channel surfing...
...I've seen it a few times. On Friday night they had "Happy Hour" in a real bar! The hostesses were two sexy women in short dresses. Who is seriously going to respect their perspectives? They looked like they were waiting for rich old men to hit on them! This channel is a freaking joke! Bloomberg and CNBW are a thousand times better than "Fox Business".
