Once again we see how much thought Bush into his Iraq war.
http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/10/17/turkey.iraq/index.html"Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's government had asked parliament in Ankara on Monday to authorize a military incursion, and the lawmakers responded with overwhelming approval, 507 to 19."
"Bush on Wednesday urged Congress to drop the House resolution. "One thing Congress should not be doing is sorting out the historical record of the Ottoman Empire. The resolution on the mass killings of Armenians beginning in 1915 is counterproductive," Bush told reporters."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While we are at denying the massacre of the Armenians: Why don't we deny the Holocaust, the Rwandan genocide, the Sudanese genocide, World War II, World War I, Civil War, War of Independence, Vietnam war, might as well just deny there is a war going on in Iraq as well.
Once again the republicans have gone into bed with the enemy. Just like they did with Saddam Hussein. We need credible allies. We never got the support of Germany, France & other western countries going into Iraq. Even Britain is withdrawing it's troops. Now we just have to wait & see what the Saudis are going to do with a Shiite government in Iraq in the years to come.
