Poll question: Who slew the first mud ball?
Out of the original 9, who do you feel started the negative campaigning first?

{Please don't read anything too serious into this poll, I just wanted to see the numbers among DU voters. It is not my attention to start some huge argument. I really would like to get alot of votes in this thread, so I sincerely and most humbly request that you don't post anything to get it locked. Thank you very much} :grouphug:

4. Well obviously the GOP got the negative ball rolling...
...however, I feel that we need to ask ourselves who ran with the Rove rumors first?
Every candidate says they were just responding to being attacked first. With whom do you feel, does the buck stop?
All I'm saying, is that I sure as heck didn't pick Clark. He stayed squeaky clean, until the attacks were so bad he had no choice but to finallly respond. In short, I feel Clark stayed the nicest, the longest. *sigh*

8. "Bush Lite" was what WE
were screaming right here on DU looooong before the words passed Dean's lips! It was not "negative campaigning" to call it like is was. It was the truth and Dean's saying so had startingly positive results.

To wit, the Dems - with the exception of the die hard DLCers - were forced to put down that bottomless can of Bush Lite that had kept them in an infuriatingly inebriated state, sobered up, taken off their "pink tutus" and gotten in the ring ready, willing and able to take it to BushCo.

To have refrained from pointing out how many ways the Dems had utterly failed us over and over and over again, as they slurped, slopped and gushed over the BushCo agenda on almost every single issue, would have been truly "negative" IMO.

7. Interesting no one picked Edwards yet.
Not even one. That seems weird. Maybe he is that nice?
