Another insidious step to fascism
We already know how CNN keeps Lou Dobb's voice marginalized. Put him on when Easterners are still commuting, and the rest of the country is still at work. Yet what LKL has to offer is SO much more important to America, that his show is repeated 3 times a night.

Now, the cable provider in Portland Oregon is going to make MSNBC a PAY channel. Bye Bye Kieth. Soon we'll all have to pay to hear anything but what the oligarchy wants us to hear. The MSM deserves more blame than anyone else for the loss our our country.

2. I hate to say it again, but it's all about the money. LKL probably garners
higher advertising revenue because of high ratings.

Dobbs, on the other hand, can't GET higher ratings because he isn't being fairly showcased.

And so it goes...

It's my same frustration about Biden -- seriously.

5. how
how is it racist to want ALL people from other countries to enter the US legally? Aren't we supposed to be trying to keep terrorists from entering our country undetected?

Anyway, regardless of what Lou stands for on illegal immigration issues, he's more scathingly critical of the WH and congress than anybody else on MSM.

8. Are you saying that because of his position on immigration? If so, I swear
I think I heard him say that his wife is Hispanic. He IS passionate about his stance, no doubt about that.

11. Not his position, his methods and attitudes
Edited on Sun Oct-14-07 08:16 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
He is a whacked out xenophobe, regardless of his specific positions. And also a RW nut.

It's like people who have a color-blind take on affirmative action, but also are obsessed with the evils of rap, welfare cheats, etc.

After a while you realize their principled take on affirmative action is part of a wider emotional anti-black agenda. (Like O'Reilly)

Lou always says "Red China" which has been loopy since the 1970s. The US position is that it's just "China" but Lou is reaching back to the elderly Doug MacArthur fans who still are obsessed about Red China.

Creepy dude. And bright orange, too!

13. He's not a right winger
He's a populist who thinks he is defending the middle class. He lost me when he off the cliff over immigration. But he is hardly right wing, IMO.

14. That's his current schtick, but Lou was a republican talking head for years...
he was a RW finacial pundit type... think Larry Kudlow.

15. there's an alternative
Drop Comcast. Bundle your services through Qwest and DirecTV. Mine is all bundled with a $16 unlimited long distance, local phone service, DirecTV and DSL internet access. MSNBC included. Lots of TV channels, including Current and Link. The dish is free, installation is free, and I've never had a service interruption.

I'll bet you're paying more through Comcast. I pay $135 for all that service!
