Personally, I don't care if he has women lined up down the block. If he can do the job, more power to him.

If this is not true, he should not have acknowledged it with a response.

the trouble is, it is hard to know whether it is best to challenge the BS, or allow it to fester without acknowledgement.

Enjoy your stay.

on edit, your own link contradicts your argument, and I would wager that Mr. Schultz is speaking of the silliness of the story, something you left out of your OP.

9. Thank you much,
Actually, I'm listening to him right now. Mr. Schultz is taking a LOT of heat from listeners, but Ed says it needs to see the light of day now so it can either be disproven or proven.

But I personally don't believe he's having an affair. If Ed Schultz is spreading this rumor, that's irresponsible.

10. Because corp media want Clinton
and the republicans think they can energize their base against her. I am 100% convinced this is what Edwards is up against. Now the sleazy shite comes out because other tactics haven't put him away yet.

Ed is not spreading the rumor..
I believe what he is trying to do is say that Edwards handled the situation badly if it is false by responding to it.

23. "at least not all newbies come here trumpeting this crap."
Why thank you. At least I know that I stand out from all the other Newbies in SOME way.

I was and still am an Edwards supporter. I just believe that this stuff needs to be talked about, since it would be much worse to let the Repugs frame the conversation.

Since it looks as though the story has already been debunked, this particular discussion can be over.

31. I'm confused . . .
Kerry gets TRASHED by Democrats for not coming out strong against lies told by the Swift Boat Veterans. John Edwards comes out strong against lies told by the National Enquirer, and he's WRONG for responding?

These poor candidates just can't catch a break from their own side!

8. There is no way to avoid
the AP using this against him no matter his response or lack of one. He might point out the wild fictional allegation against many famous people, including Bush and laugh it off- if the media lets you make the jab.

He might point out the classic LBJ and Cheney feint of getting a rival entangled over wild allegations. it might be an instructional moment because the GOP is full of crap like that. Also, after Clinton no one gives a damn and if you go that way with rumors the reality based GOP pervert conviction ads will come out in a mind boggling fetid flurry- I would hope.

For that reason I can not listen to him. He wants to be Rushie when he grows up.

18. They will have to produce the woman in order for anyone to believe this.
Anyone who has seen Elizabeth and John Edwards in the same room and watched them communicate will have to hear first had from the "other woman" before believing this accusation. Anything is possible, but this is a bit of a stretch.

22. Ed Schultz is a dumbass, DLC-boot licking, Hillary lover. He's trying to hurt Edwards in Iowa.
I would not be surprised in the least to hear that this slanderous story was constructed and fed to the media by those associated with Hillary.

Strange how this sort of thing comes out in time to hurt Edwards in the tight Iowa primary race. Hmmm...who would stand to win the most from such mud-slinging?

Hillary WILL NEVER get my vote. Period. I cannot in good conscience vote for a "Repuke in sheep's clothing." Repuke wins 2008, then so be it.

Randi Rhodes and Schutz both courted the Washington cabal...guess who won out with the corporate whore Dems?

32. Shame on you
Nothing was "uncovered" - you cited someone's rambling in a blog - something that was debunked here yesterday.

Why don't you spend more time explaining why people should support YOUR candidate instead of constantly trying to tear down everyone else? If you can't do that, you might want to at least try to avoid posting this kind bull since it only undercuts your credibility.

Remember Jennifer Flowers in Clintons first campaign, when the sotry about her came out, I think that was when Clintons polls started to rise.
