5. Then Turkey will have to accept the truth.
I have never seen such worries as those about Turkey's tender sensibilities in light of the slaughter of 1.5 million Armenians. Would we act the same if Germany denied the Holocaust?

12. you know this is BS because when this regime of ours wanted
to launch attacks from Turkey to Iraq, the Turks said NO to the US. What a bunch of idiots. sure Turkey is our ally, alot of sarcasm there.

And the Turks were not going to be accepted into the EU until they acknowledged the genocide of Armenians, I hope this bites Turkey and this disgusting administration in the ass. But again, is Turkey doing the US bidding and have some deal in mind to split up the oil revenues between Turkey and the disgusting * oil men. I won't doubt it at all.

15. Why are we pushing this through?
Why now? There's got to be some political motivation for this.

18. Turkey's really backing us into a corner...
in making the Biden plan work, if they won't accept a Kurdish state under the federalist system. I don't see how this resolution will help, though.

19. Some of us believe it's a moral imperative. And past time to do this.
If Turkey refuses to acknowledge what happened, then we need to stand up and affirm that it did happen, that it was wrong, and it was genocide. It's called civilization. Admittedly, the U.S. right now is an appalling example, but that doesn't mean this is the right thing to do. Now, or at any time.

Talk to some Armenian families about their history. See how much "political motivation" is behind their stories of the slaughter.
