Hardly anyone ever gets to see Dennis speak, and he's an amazing speaker, with clear, inspiring ideas. So many people I know say "Once I heard him speak, I couldn't vote for anyone else!" Many misunderstand them because he has so little media coverage. Maybe he is far to the left, but won't it be hard for a centrist/DLC type to pull us back from where the country is on the right right now?

If everyone who says "I like Dennis, but..." would vote for him, he could really start winning.

And about the electability question -- I'd vote for a chicken over George Bush, and I think most people would. I've heard conservative after conservative tell me that. This is a unique opportunity to get a president in who can really shake things up (for the better). To forgo that for another centrist, with ties to the current, corporate power structure, is a mistake. Paul Krugman wrote in the NYT that this was a battle between those that get it (DK, Dean, Moesley-Braun) and those that don't (Kerry, Edwards)...And it would be a shame for those that don't "get it" to take the nomination, when we so badly need someone who "gets it" (I have the Krugman article, so if you want to read it, let me know).

So please watch this clip, and read his platform at www.kucinich.us, and then vote with your heart.

Susan

Kucinich Delegate in WA state

8. Me too!
Dennis is so far superior to all of the other candidates. He is the only one I have ever campaigned for. He not only talks the talk, he walks the walk. I truly believe he could progress our Country in a positive direction. The rest are same old, same old!

15. early morning bump
Kucinich is the best.

Here's another to watch, especially the Q&A session, where he poses the question 'Let's turn it around: can you win? Let's say it's the day after the election. We won. Yay. Okay, what did we win?'

Edited on Thu Feb-19-04 06:23 AM by Mairead
"for weapons of mass destruction.

I've been a big city mayor. I know about weapons of mass destruction. Poverty is a weapon of mass destruction! {listeners start to go nuts} Homelessness is a weapon of mass destruction! Joblessness is a weapon of mass destruction! {people are on their feet cheering} Poor health care is a weapon of mass destruction! Racism is a weapon of mass destruction !{people are jumping up and down} Sexism is a weapon of mass destruction! We have weapons of mass destruction HERE, Mr President and we need to (something) them NOW!" {the hall is in total uproar as the clip ends}

He tells de troof. Every time. What a treasure we have in Dennis!

(those little pauses before and after 'the president' were beautiful!)

But I watched anyway, just to get to hear Dennis.

Fired up, optimistic, supportive, enthusiastic crowd.

Can you feel the crowd yearning for his plans?

Please, keep up the good work---I'm doing my part
to try to get the word out for Dennis
in My neck of the woods, so don't you stop!

Dennis is my hero, and I might just
move to the part of Cleveland that
he represents--just so he can
represent me, too!

24. And if you're within driving distance of the Twin Cities
come to hear Dennis speak at the University of Minnesota's Northrop Auditorium this Saturday, February 21, in a program with other speakers and musicians from 2PM to 5PM.

The information is here:

http://www.minnesotaforkucinich.com/febrally.php

Hearing Dennis speak made the other candidates seem timid and indecisive. This is his third visit to the Twin Cities since August, and to my knowledge, he is the ONLY candidate who has visited to speak to anyone except wealthy contributors. (Apologies if I'm wrong on this, but I don't recall any public rallies with the other candidates.)

He comes across much better in person than on TV, and he is fantastic at interacting with audience members.

30. Man!
This is time. Kucinich is the man. How can anyone listen to his message and not be moved? He is head and shoulders above the other candidates - hell, above any candidate we've had in thirty years!

32. That he is.
I don't think anyone can listen and not be moved. They can block their ears. They can look away. They can prevaricate and make excuses. But they can't field a candidate that comes close.
