Now that the outsiders are gone who will hold Bush accountable for Iraq?
"I'm not afraid to say what's right and wrong in this country. And I'm speaking out, David. And I'm telling you this. That war in Iraq is a war that did not have to be fought."

Interview of General Wesley Clark on Fox News 11/17/2003

1. Nobody.
If they voted FOR the war, enabling Junior to invade Iraq, then they are in no position to hold the bastard accountable.

14. No. It really is one of the things that bothers me most.
I still cannot believe we actually invaded another country. Even more unbelievable is that so many people support it.

3. Sadly, I doubt the guilty parties will ever truly be held
accountable. The all belong in a cell in the Hague, IMO. And that INCLUDES the mainstream media who lied and empowered them.

we wouldn't want our country to be an embarassment.

8. No, I wish Kucinich got more coverage

He kicks ass in the debates. But obviously I felt that General Clark was the stronger person on this issue, as the interviewer opened the debate he commented that "its hard to call a four star general weak on defense..."

edited the title

9. 23 to 77
23 brave senators stood up to Bush and voted NO to the war in Iraq. Kerry and Edwards went with the popular vote.

10. God knows the Democratic Party leadership won't
and neither will John Kerry. If it hadn't been for Howard Dean and Dennis Kuchinich, nobody would be questioning Iraq except the families who lost children there.

11. I see where Kerry has attracted support of Iraq war dissentors
Kerry is the man to hold Bush accountable. In fact he said that he would do so the day he voted for IWR.

13. I don't think its possible
for someone who voted for the resolution to hold him accountable. The republicans will simply say "hey, you voted for it."

15. Exactly
Both Kerry & Edwards are impotent on the most important issues because of their votes.

17. Of course.
Kerry or Edwards would be fortunate to have Clark on a ticket with them. I just don't think VP is the spot for Wes. I'm still not over that we won't have Clark, the best candidate and the best to beat Bush.
I'll repeat Michael Moore on Clark "You don't get handed a gift like this very often."

18. He's the ONLY guy
who will hold the Bush Cabal's feet to the fire! We must have Wes Clark on the ticket. The criminals have to pay for what they have done to this country.

:toast: Go Wes!

19. If he's the VP candidate he won't be allowed to go after Bush for the war
Presidents don't let VP's do things that will underline their own failings.

23. They don't know what they are talking about
Bush's worst nightmare of a ticket would have been a Clark/Dean one. Now that both men are out, that will NOT happen. Damn the DLC. Damn the DNC.
