I would like to see a Kerry/Edwards debate
one on one.

Dennis & Sharpton will not be the nominees, sorry.

The nominee will be Kerry or Edwards, & I'd like to see a real debate, with rebuttal. Not a debate where the give soundbites of their stump speech.

The debate should be done by PBS or League of Women Voters, so it's fair. And it should cover all areas of international & domestic policies.

I would like to get an idea of who would be more effective against Bush.

1. My natural reaction is to include them all, BUT.......

I do believe the importance of this debate might warrant narrowing it down to the 2 candidates who still have a chance.

It does leave a bad taste in my mouth to leave DK out though. But hey, it's not up to us. If it's important enough to you, write CNN.

2. What would they debate about?
NAFTA? Who has better hair?

"I'm more electable"
"no I am."

Two guys agreeing 99% of the time is NOT a debate.

3. A little too simple
First off, trade is a huge issue. They could spend a whole hour debating just that. In fact, it's one of the top 3 issues for the upcoming GE (1. F. Policy, 2. Jobs and Trade, 3. Healthcare)

They have differences in environmental policy.
They have differences in how they view corporate America.

There's tons of stuff.

4. I was hoping
to see if there are any real differences.

Also, who is a better debater to go up against Bush. We can't tell from group debates.

5. I would also like to see a Kerry-Edwards ONLY debate.
Kucinich and Sharpton, God love them, have been performing a great task by staying in the campaign and keeping many of the debates honest.

It is not impossible for Kucinich and Sharpton to still win the nomination, but unfortunately I'd place the odds around those of a chimpanzee accidently typing out the complete works of Shakespeare on a typerwriter.

At this point, we can very safely assume that either Kerry or Edwards will get the nomination; everyone else has dropped out. They need to have a handful of 1-on-1 debates between the two, to see who can defend themselves the best in front of the cameras. The others, quite frankly, need to stop using up the precious media time. No hard feelings, but that's the way it is.
