Hillary has floated rumors she would ask Jim Webb to take VP slot. It thought for sure Richardson was running for VP and in good standing until then.

I don't think Jim Webb wants VP slot either.

Maybe that's for Obama.

However, he is the only non top tier candidate gaining ground. There is also a double your contribution campaign going on now until the end of October for Richardson. I could see some rival candidacies that want to break into the top tier being eager to spread the speculation.
