Edwards had approx. 35% of WI votes, not 34%

CNN's website has a rounding error, with 100% in. I just wrote them to say. I totalled the votes to get 817,421 (an amazing number!), and CNN shows Edwards with 283,327, or 34.66% of these. Kerry's percentage is 40.09, so rounding to 40% is correct, and Dean got 18.43% (18% rounding ok). I emailed them.

1. I know. They rounded down on Edwards when they should have rounded up.

It made it look as if Edwards had fewer votes than he had.

Has Kerry with 39.7% and Edwards with 34.3

3. thanks, it appears CNN left out the totals for

several of the other candidates (I just went to USA Today to see something else and they have more complete info), so the overall total is actually nearly 826000, which then lowers both their percentages. Now it adds up. Thanks for the info and link.
