Ed Schultz is not very well informed
He's on now and talking down Howard Dean. And he talked about the capture of Saddham as if our troops hunted him down and found him. Hmmm.... For left wing radio, this guy is too muddled for me. I'm going to really miss Mike M.

7. What did Wes Clark say?
I personally wouldn't belittle the efforts of our troops in any way shape or form.

11. This isn't about belittling our troops
It's about getting the facts straight and refusing to support a myth.

6. What Schultz said was
that our troops put their minds to it and pulled him out of the hole. He made it sound as if our troops actually captured him. It didn't happen that way. The Kurds captured and held Saddham. If they made a deal with our troops or governemnt, that doesn't mean we captured Saddham.

And frankly, I don't need to hear Schultz go on and on about Dean, How he was so wrong about too many things. I'm not a Dean supporter but he did way more for the party that will change the way campaigns will be conducted. Schultz is giving too much ammunition to right wingers.

10. He was "in a hole" within sight of his palace (our guys are living there)
You have to know that this "farm" was searched many times.. He was "turned in" by Kurds.. :tinfoilhat: Were they keeping him under wraps until we "needed" him??

My take on this is that many Kurds would have executed him on sight.. unless there were "deals" made to hold him "on ice" until the opportune time, in exchange for concessions ..

hunt-'em-down American troops.
"Come get him, we want special concessions for Kurds."

And the Americans showed up right on time, where the Kurds had been holding Saddam for a couple of weeks in a hole.

Oh, those brave Americans that Bush is lying about.(They are brave, but in this case it was a done deal.)

And a week later, the Kurds got their concessions.

9. He's a liberal Democrat, not "left wing"
Most people believe our troops hunted him down and found him. The yellow date thing has been exposed as not true.

He also had a very bad experience with a Dean volunteer state coordinator here in North Dakota. Tick up his bad feelings about the Dean campaign to that.

He's not Dennis Kucinich. And he wouldn't give LIHOP the time of day. I He only uses tin foil to wrap left overs. Trust me on that. But he's a voice for the Democratic Party that is badly needed on the radio.

12. Thanks for the insight
If he mentioned it, I didn't hear him talk about his personal reasons for how he feels about Dean. The reasons he's been laying out today are about Dean's position on things and the campaign. That turned me off.

Frankly, the guy really grated against me today. I don't believe in talking trash against Dem candidates. Since Randi is on at the same time, I don't think I'll be listening to Schultz.
