Dean Ends Campaign, Vows to Back Nominee
"I am no longer actively pursuing the presidency," Dean told a crowd of cheering, flag-waving supporters. "We will, however, continue to build a new organization using our enormous grass-roots network to continue the effort to transform the Democratic Party and to change our country."

This sucks, I was hoping he would stay in longer

1. It was time
What else could he do? Dean never came close to a win. His money and crowds had dwindled. He made a hugh impact but it was clear his campaign was going nowhere. This is one amazing story.

3. Sounds like one does not want the support of
any of the Deanieac's then....since we are dwindling and spent our 40 million.

2. actually that may be the best of both worlds
There is a question of him remaining on the ballot. which infuriates me if he is doing it deliberately. but with this quote i am much releived.

Most importantly because he's going to continue building on the "Dean movement" and turn it into something bigger than just a president maker. We need large strong voiced organizations to transform the party and the "dean movement" could very well be a very important one.

Remember this president is just damage control. the real battle is changing the party and turning this nation in a new direction.

TearForger

4. I sure hope his name stays on the ballot.
He earned it.
