Can I have your opinion on this?
I just came back from the anti-war/impeachment rally & march in Washington DC(Sept. 29th).
Despite what the papers say I thought it was a pretty large crowd. Anyway one of the speakers asked a question which I have absolutely no answer to. 'Bill Clinton WAS impeached for his lying about a sexual encounter. George Bush has clearly done illegal things but the entire nation does nothing about it and even stands behind him'.

WHY?

2. Because it is the Corporate Controlled Congress that is doing nothing about it.
The sheeple know what the Corporate Controlled Media tells them to know.
The idiot few who miss their strong daddy figure are the only one I see standing behind the Idiot bush.

What was the question again?

3. Here Is My Explanation
http://disenfranchisedmusic.com/mp3/noa.mp3

Nation of Assholes

Nation of Assholes, Nation of Assholes
I live in a country that's a Nation of Assholes
Idiots and morons, shitheads and jerks
I'm always amazed that anything still works

Flag waving dickheads all up in my face
spouting their bullshit all over the place
I try to ignore them, I try to buck up
But now I just wish that they would shut the fuck up

The oil cartels raise the price as they please
because of these assholes and their damn suv's
With all the pollution and the prices of gas
It all goes to prove they've got their heads up their ass

September 11th hit us like a bomb
Osama attacked us so we captured Saddam
The Iraq occupation makes my teeth gnash
'cause it's not about freedom, it's all about cash
Nation of Assholes, Nation of Assholes

We live in a country thats a Nation of Assholes
Wishing and hoping against all my fears
But then they elected a sphincter with ears.....twice

to impeach (I think the post mentioned that it's on the Internet somewhere). Anyway, they are so much more organized in so many ways than we are, especially in muckraking, fear mongering and hate. I believe that to be a fact. They're always standing by ready and eager to point the finger and drag someone down, and they're organized to do so at the drop of the hat.

If it weren't so horrifying it might be pitiable. Like little bullies who are so filled with insecurity all they can do is attack.

I guess we're just too concerned about doing what's right for the country. I hope we realize our mistake and wake up soon. :sarcasm:

Self edit -- thought I'd better include the sarcasm smiley.

5. If all this has become 'acceptable' now,
What does he have to do, what will it take, for Americans to say "Whoa now" and oust him?

6. God, that's the big question, isn't it. After every new injustice that's uncovered -
and they're being uncovered daily, it seems -- I always think whoa, THIS is gonna blow the lid off.

When we take to the streets we're ignored. We need our elected officials to do something -- dare I say it? -- Republican-like and raise hell about it.

Then the question becomes, how do we get our guys to DO that? They've not been very impressive thus far.

I think of all the other countries where revolutions have been successful. But even though I tend to think that they always begin with a rag-tag army of idealists, I think the truth of the matter is they have financial backing from governments who want to see them succeed.

Think Castro. Hell, think of America funding all the overthrows that we (they) felt would benefit us.

It's always the money. It's always the fucking money.

So there's the answer. Money.

8. I know what you mean,
And it's like the sheeple have all been stunned by the same insanity taser that W obviously has. Also, I believe, the neocons are running things like mafiosos, with bullying and threats to Congress and their families. Otherwise, it doesn't make any fuckin' sense!

power of blackmail.

why can't we? Tough times call for tough measures.

15. I have marched this month on the 15th and 29th in Washington.
I have written to newspapers and signed petitions. The Washington Post wrote the day after the last march (On page 17!) that a very small crowd turned out for it. It's so bloody easy to feel discouraged. Going to the various anti-war web sites helps. Watching Bill Mahr always gives me hope.
I think about IRAN and what's happening to our economy. What's happening with global warming, lack of healthcare. We can't tackle even ONE of these issues with the Bushies in office. And all they can do is talk about starting another war with IRAN.
I wish there were more MoveOn ads.
What other ideas can you think of?

7. If * would kill kittens on the WH lawn, with a hammer, maybe

However, while the cartoon was satirical in nature, I realized that in all honesty, I have no idea if this would be true. In fact, I and most others have no idea just how truly the average conservative thinker supports the President. If there is to be legitimate debate in this country, should the question not honestly be asked- would you, a conservative who supports the President and all his actions, still support him if he went as far as to kill a kitten with a hammer for no apparent reason? What if he killed several?

Therefore, I felt that this premise could be used as a template for an actual, concrete representation of the limit to which all Americans would oppose the unchecked actions of the Executive. Hence my humble request for your participation in the 2006 George W. Bush Dead Kitten Survey.

The survey will take a mere moment of your time, and consists of the following scenario:

I would like for you to imagine the President of the United States, George W. Bush, killing kittens one-by-one with a hammer. When doing so, please keep in mind the following conditions of this hypothetical scenario:

I love my kitties!

being done, but they do care about sexual things being done. We are a shallow bunch.
