Interesting how Dean 'suspends' campaign
So many of his supporters will still vote for him. I'm not sure how this 'suspension' thing will play out. Perhaps Dean and Clark will continue to get a combined 5% in every state here on out.

1. He basically said he's no longer campaigning, but his name will remain on
the ballots and he encourages people to vote for him so that his delegates can throw their weight around at the convention.

3. He wants his message to stay alive,
even if he's no longer actively campaigning.

When I learned he was pulling out, my first reaction was, Why bother to attend my caucus on March 13. Now, I might actually go.

I am simply not a Kerry supporter, and although I may vote for him in November, I cannot bring myself to support him at this point. And since I live in Kansas, which will undoubtedly go for Bush, I can safely not bother to vote for the first time in 32 years.

4. Methinks he may use his delegates as bargaining chips. . .
in hammering out the Dems platform at the convention.

Just my 2 cents.

5. He has enough respect
for his supporters to know that some of us still haven't had the chance to vote for him, and some of us still want to.

6. I Think He's Trying to Make a Deal with Edwards
Keeping his name on the ballot and withholding an endorsement gives him additional leverage. Edwards has to decide how much Dean's support means to his candidacy.

8. Edwards won't have much time
Plus, I don't see how Dean could ever endorse Edwards if he had said in the past that Kerry and Clark were Republicans.

7. After attending the last Dean "Meet-up"....
I'm guessing that he gets more than the usual 5% from here on out.
