A new Job for Howard Dean.
Hats off to Howard Dean for Galvanizing the party and bringing new voters to the polls; for raising the right issues; for showing ho campaigns can rais money on the internet.

His issues were right....butperhaps the party was not ready for him and his style for the white House.

What about Speaker of the House?

You don't have to me a House memeber to be speaker.

My thought is that Dean might be the perfectect guy to nationalize congressional elections. He is a proven leader....Is right on many issues and is a fiscal conservative.

Running a Populist campaign that would nationalize the congressional elections might be enough to turn the House back to the the Dems. As a reward Howard could be tapped as House Speaker.

The Dems have nothing to lose really The Senate is going to stay in GOP hands and anger at Dubya does nothave much down-ticket value.

Running a populist national campaign against Hastert and Delay might be a way to pick off several seats if run on kitche table issues like healthcare jobs, the cost of higher education.

Theme: What happened to the Contract with America. Throw the Bums out!

15. But he's said from time to time that he loves to manage things
and feels that managing is his strong point. Who better to manage the nation's health?

4. I am hoping he takes his network and makes a 527 or a PAC
of some sort. His fundraising power could be tapped to help run issue ads ala Move On. He should definetly have an active role in the party/admin.

8. That sounds like it
I see Gov. Dean working for progressive causes, but outside elected government. I really don't see him holding a cabinet position anytime in the near future.

9. why not director CIA
or head of the FCC, for all the good it will do.

Dean will not be let within a mile of any post, unless it is given to him in the expectation it will further destroy him.

How bad are the chances? He has a better shot at the White House.

Dean Expected to Pull Back on Bid for White House Today
By JODI WILGOREN

Published: February 18, 2004

MADISON, Wis., Feb. 18 — Howard Dean is expected to effectively end his presidential campaign today, a day after a distant third-place finish in the Wisconsin Democratic primary.

Dr. Dean is to appear this afternoon in Burlington, Vt., to clarify his plans, and aides said after the returns came in Tuesday night that they expected him to announce that he was abandoning his White House bid. But they also said that he would not leave the campaign trail altogether and that he intended to create a political action group that would work to oust President Bush and fill Congress and state legislatures with Democrats.

17. He should run a 527 and campaign for the nominee
McCain did the same thing with * in 2000. After that I hope he runs for the Senate in 2006, but that depends on if Jeffords retires.
