I am VERY proud of the Democratic candidates lately.

Now, I'm not the newshound some of you here are, but over the last couple of weeks it seems to me that every time I see any of the Dem candidates interviewed, they have taken every opportunity to blast Chimpy and have demurred on criticizing the other candidates.

Take Edwards this morning on CNN. He called Kerry a good candidate, he said that he has legitimate differences with him on issues such as NAFTA and jobs but that America had a win-win choice between him and Kerry. He also said good things about Dean.

Even when the CNN talking head threw out opportunities for Edwards to hit Kerry, he just turned it around into a criticism on Chimpy. I've seen Kerry and Dean and Sharpton do the same things recently.

THIS is how we're going to win!

Good job Dems!

1. General Election Positive Image
I agree with you...we are doing a great job of promoting ourselves right now. Here's my question: How do we use the positivity that has worked so well for Edwards in a general election? Will our attacks on Bush come across as negative campaigning? Will the repubs do the same in return? Just throwin' it out there...lemme know what you think!

5. we can't hold back
on W. Even Edwards will go at him guns full blazin'. But I think he still will be more positive in a lot of ways than Kerry. Who knows what will work in the GE. There's a lot of unknowns that might happen from now until then IMO.

6. We'll need to do more than criticize Bush
Our nominee will have to have a positive agenda giving voters a reason to vote FOR him and not just against Bush. But I'm optimistic that will happen.

2. Well, I think dems aren't short-sighted like the republicans are.
Are while the short term goal is to win the nomination, the long term goal is to get the chimp out of office and I commend all of these candidates for keeping their eye on the real prize. They don't need to bash each other to point out their differences and I am sooooo glad they aren't! They are a great group of democratic leaders and I for one, will be happy with whoever gets the nomination.

3. Great post
I couldn't agree more. It will also put Chimpy in the "all negative, all the time" position. I can't believe it; it looks like wea are really out to win this time. About time!
