French President Sarkozy warns war with Iran if
Iran develops nuclear bomb.

"French President Nicolas Sarkozy piled pressure on Iran at the United Nations Tuesday, saying it would be unacceptable for the Islamic republic to get hold of nuclear weapons.

Sarkozy's comments came just hours before Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was due to address the world body, in a speech expected to attempt to play down fears of Tehran's nuclear ambitions."

2. I have no problem with nuclear armed Iran
if they establish a democracy. Sorry, but I have
trouble trusting a theocracy of any religion.

4. Is it "tin foil hattery" of me to think that this is supposed to be used
as our way in to attacking Iran...by coming to the aid of France once Iran hits back?

6. My gut feeling is that plan is already in place to attack Iran
Election of Mr. Sarkozy in France has sealed that fate.
But since N. Korea has now given up all their nuclear
weapons and be subjected to IAEA inspections, Iran will
follow suit and give up nukes also. Atleast I hope so to
avoid an ugly war.

9. Sarcozy won against a liberal candidate in the recent election
His main noise was against the immigrants in which
Sarcozy seems to have found a winning issue.

8. Sarkozy is just another lying Neocon
Edited on Tue Sep-25-07 07:07 PM by Progressive Friend
Iran is not developing nuclear weapons and the International Atomic Energy Agency agrees. Iran is simply developing a civilian nuclear power program, which they have every right to do as signatories of the NPT. Washington (and their new French puppet) simply want to install another brutal Shah-like puppet dictator in Iran, who will privatize Iran's natural resources and hand them over to US (and perhaps also French puppet) oil companies. That is the "democracy" that the Neocons want to bring to Iran.

10. Ahemedinejad himself said that they have 3000 centrifuges
working to enrich uranium. My confusion is why is it
Ok for Pakistan or India or China to posses nukes but
not by Iran. Ok so India is a democracy. But Pakistan
and China are not, just like Iran.

Why the discrimination against Iran? In fact Al Qaeda
has many more sympathisers in Pakistan and they are
harboring Bin Laden himself.
