Majority of Americans, 75% of Democrats Want Bill Clinton To Play Active Policy Role
What role would the American public want Bill Clinton to play in the White House if his wife Hillary Clinton is elected president in November 2008?

A recent USA Today/Gallup poll asked Americans about Bill Clinton's possible role as First Spouse and found a slim majority of Americans saying they would like him to play an active policy-making role in his wife's administration.

The Sept. 7-8, 2007, poll asked Americans if they would like to see Bill Clinton play an active role in policy-making in Hillary Clinton's administration. More than half of Americans, 53%, say they would like him to play an active role, while 44% say they would not.

The opinions of Republicans (including independents who lean toward the Republican Party) and Democrats (including Democrat-leaning independents) differ dramatically as to whether or not Bill Clinton should play an active role in policy-making in his wife's possible White House administration.

Just 22% of Republicans would want Bill Clinton to play an active role in Hillary Clinton's administration, while 75% would not want him to play an active role. Democrats' views are nearly the mirror image -- 75% would want Bill Clinton to play an active policy-making role, while 23% would not.

If you wake up and dont want to smile,
If it takes just a little while,
Open your eyes and look at the day,
Youll see things in a different way.

Dont stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Dont stop, itll soon be here,
Itll be, better than before,
Yesterdays gone, yesterdays gone.

Why not think about times to come,
And not about the things that youve done,
If your life was bad to you,
Just think what tomorrow will do.

Dont stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Dont stop, itll soon be here,
Itll be, better than before,
Yesterdays gone, yesterdays gone.

All I want is to see you smile,
If it takes just a little while,
I know you dont believe that its true,
I never meant any harm to you.

Dont stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Dont stop, itll soon be here,
Itll be, better than before,
Yesterdays gone, yesterdays gone.

Dont you look back,
Dont you look back.

This is enough for me not to support her in the primaries.

We need to end this war, not continue Bushs way of doing things in Iraq.

17. I really don't want 2 DLC'ers for the price of one.
But if HRC gets elected, her cabinet is going to be dominated by DLC'ers and New Democratic think tankers. SOoooo, I'm not sure that Bill's influence is going to be any worse than that of most of HRC's cabinet and special advisors.

still The People love him! (unlike their own definitely impeachable Nixon and Jr. shitstain). Not that I'm that fond of him anymore, after it all became so clear about NAFTA and "welfare reform," but it is ironic that they just can't make him go away! too bad, putzes!

Why would you claim Falwell put that in his video?

41. Why wasn't the question asked differently?
Like, "would you want Bill Clinton to play a role in a Democratic
administration?" What does it matter who is president? If Edwards
or Obama were president, I'd still want Bill Clinton playing a role
smoothing relations with other countries back to a semblance of normalcy.
Why only under a President Hillary? That's ridiculous. He'd do it for
a President Dean, a President Gore or a President Kucinich if asked.

Bill Clinton is still very much respected around the world by countries he
was involved with during his presidency, and I would hope that ANY Democratic
president would make use of those contacts. We sure have a lot of damage
control to get to work on, and he would be a jump starter in getting our
Allies back to being that in more than name only.
