Obama stands ground on meeting with Ahmadinejad

NEW YORK (CNN) — Sen. Barack Obama stood his ground Monday on his controversial remarks earlier this year that he would meet with Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. "We should never negotiate out of fear but we should never fear to negotiate," Obama said, quoting John F. Kennedy.

"Meeting with somebody is not tantamount to agreeing with them," he later added when taking questions from reporters after announcing an endorsement by the New York City Correctional Officers Benevolent Association in Manhattan.

Obama's toughest Democratic primary competition in the race for the White House, Sen. Hillary Clinton, criticized Obama earlier this year for saying he would meet with Ahmadinejad during a debate, called his comments irresponsible and attacked the Illinois senator for being inexperienced.

Obama also said he would not have invited Ahmadinejad to speak as Columbia University has done....

3. Excellent.
Obama doesn't provide knee-jerk reactions -- but thoughtful, measured, and rational responses.

How refreshing.

GObama!

7. Hillary won't do anything that might offend AIPAC
no matter how much sense it makes.

8. Oh yeah, I forgot
Your right. Silly me.
Thank you for straightening me out, I forgot about the Israel thingy and now a very dark
cloud has moved into my Hillary thinking circle.
Of course she wouldnt want to offend AIPAC. I mean, who cares if we drop the bomb
on Iran as long as those AIPAC campaign contributions keep rolling in.
Why bother talking to the Iranians anyway, they're not sending us loads of cash.

So with that in mind, where does Obama stand with AIPAC? just wondering.
