Poll question: If Obama loses the primary, what should he do next?
So far most of you think Hillary should stay in the Senate and probably pursue the Majority Leadership in the case of a loss.

So, what should Obama do in case he loses?

4. The same thing I expect of any Democrat who loses the primary
And that is to concede gracefully and endorse and campaign for the nominee.

17. He does not need to damage his political career by taking a VP slot.

8. His original plan was to either serve another senate term or governor
obama will not be vp depending. maybe to Edwards or gore but, never to Clinton. They cannot stand each other and she would not want his highlighting of her weakenesses and she is probably got vilsack.
he would not want to be associated with a corrupt administration and he dislikes the DLC

20. Wait a minute - he can be friends across the aisle to GOP, but not DLC?
I'm sorry, but that makes no sense to me.
I won't say you are wrong, as I have no evidence.

It's just that Barack is a bridge builder type personality, and would work to build consensus.
Hating and divisive behavior are not qualities that I have seen from him.

Am I wrong, you think?

10. I'll take any of three choices--either VP, Gov, or stay in the Senate--
whichever will make him happiest. I'm really, really hoping that we won't have to consider this, however! :)

14. I remember talking to some people at a bbq for Barack about Edwards and him teaming up
then a week later I saw the steak fry on cspan and those two were walking down the hill next to each other joking.
i thought it looked right.
either one at the top and the other rounding it out.

16. Edwards is the only serious candidate that would run with Obama.
Hilary will not risk her campaign exposed to two "never happened before" variables.

IMHO VP would be political suicide.

27. I vote for him staying in the Senate but running again for President down the line.
At least then he can argue that he has the necessary experience.
