when he was on Olberman to comment on Bushes statements about that Republicans ought to reach out to people of color and run on their strong record of support and commitment to them. It was a rolling and continuous belly laugh from the black journalist from the Wash. Post.
When asked by Keith what Bush was trying to say to the Republican candidates, who have refused to even answer the call for a debate with a black forum or a hispanic one, he said that Bush was telling them to "make the gesture".
He said the Republicans lost all credibility on the subject of fairness to blacks and people of color in how Katrina was dealt with.
The reason I'm writing, is because he just kept genuinely laughing out loud in discussing this, it was amazing to me how far we have sunk for the reality of segregation and prejudice and cronyism to be so understood that it is not worthy of a discussion, just dirision. It has become blatant and unavoidably obvious, all we can do is laugh at those that bring up it may not be so, especially Mr. Bush.
Sad state in America. Though I enjoyed laughing with Gene Robinson, and that he was able to just let himself go.
