Poll question: Campaign 2008....Most qualified Senators running ?
Disclaimer: I'm an Edwards supporter, for many reasons and because he was serious enough running for President in 2004, he chose not to run for re-election for the Senate in 2004. My second choice is Biden right now, have been a fan of his for many reasons also, and I think he's more qualified/experienced to run than any of the other sitting Senators.

What say you DU? Not who you want to get the nod, but who's the most qualified? Most experienced?

Only Senators, no Other choices :)

3. I voted for Dodd even though I support Hillary.
I guess others went more for their guy.

Oh well.

4. I think Dodd and Biden are more qualified though

6. It was a tough choice between Dodd and Biden.
In terms of years served, committees involved in, legislation passed etc.

Of those two Biden strikes me as more Presidential what ever that abstract truly means. He just seems to possess that natural leadership charisma.

But I went with Dodd. Go figure...

:hi:

9. They both have extensive experience in public office
and are highly regarded as senators. Biden definitely has more appeal and is a more persuasive speaker.

11. LOL
I did the same thing, but it's pretty much a tie between those two as far as I'm concerned.

16. Me too.
Dodd has a wider variety of experience than Biden. His answers are more complex and he sees grey where others see only black and white.

Overall - all the Dem Senators running have great records and any one of them would make a good president.

My 'guy' is still Gore but he's not in at this point.

8. I agree
It wasn't a popularity poll and Obama has not been in the senate long enough to determine if he is "more qualified".

12. Funny, isn't it?
I voted for Biden, although I'm a Hillary supporter. (Biden's my second choice, though.)

2. I think they're all
sufficiently qualified. I don't know that there's a meaningful definition of "more qualified".

7. well perhaps
there is *more* qualified, but if all are *sufficiently* qualified, it's a pointless measure.

13. Biden all the way!!!
Biden has seen it all. From Nixon's impeachment, the civil rights movement, ending the war in Vietnam, Cuban missle crisis, The fall of communism, the Iran-Contra scandals, the fall of the Berlin Wall, on and on and on. He's seen a presidential impeachment, a presidential resigination, and a pres election by the Supreme Court. He's traveled to war zones in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He has fought for legislation to protect women against domestic violence and played a major role in stopping Milosevic's genocide in the Balkans. Need I say any more???? Biden has the most real world experience out of any Senator, hands down!!!! He would be an incredible leader. He's also a straight shot and honest man and has had tragedy befall him which has only made him stronger and a better man for it.

15. Biden was first followed by Dodd
But Senators have a definite problem getting in to the White House with only legislative experience; never having held executive office. Last person to do it was JFK. And he was the only Dem to pull it off in the modern era.
