2. Fabulous ... LOVE it ...
I'm so sick to death half-assed rookie Presidents winning the office on charisma.

Can we get a PROFESSIONAL public official in there for a change?

5. you mean he's not SCREECHING a list of states?
maybe it's because he won instead of coming in distant third. concession speeches are usually more rousing this year. he'll just keep on winning.

7. they are talking about this on
MSNBC. This is the one thing that I can't stand about Kerry. Geeze...there are too many ADD people out there that need the words to floooowwww faster.

I like Kerry and think he would be a great President, but getting him to 1600 Pennsylvannia Ave is gonna be tough if he doesn't bring those speeches up to speed.

8. How did he learn about Aircraft Carriers for real?
He was on a frigate and a swift boat... not an AC... and there's nothing like an AC but an AC... I never commented the other 2000 times he's said that... but I'm just wondereing. What does a low level officer on a 50 foot boot know about something like an nuclear AC anymore than bush or the average lake fisherman?

9. maybe he was on aircraft carriers while in the NAVYYYY!!
jeezus. what is your problem? what was Edwards doing in Nam? How about Dean? Huh? Why don't you go to a Kerry rally and ask him yourself? Your post sounds as snooty and pathetically shallow as Laura Ingram's so-called political commentary.

10. Dunno!
I was wondering the same thing...I didn't want to reveal my ignorance on the subject, but I didn't know how he could possibly know about a an Aircraft Carrier "for real."

As soon as I heard him say that I flipped the channel. Does he say that in every single speech that he does? I've only heard him speak on a few occasions, and every time I hear him say that.

What in my post indicated that Kerry's war hero status is worrying me? Why should it? I don't understand what you're asking.

...his experience in the military as if it was bothering you. Why would you say that if it wasn't bothering you? Huh?

12. Reminds me of the "Joementum" series of speeches
Kerry is the most dull speaker of the bunch. I really hope he learns how to publicly speak for the next four years. Though, he won't be half as funny to listen to as *. At least Kerry can use the English language and not engage in silly slip-ups or grammatical gaffes.

18. No passion, being careful, self editing can add up to one dull speaker
Kerry was a more compelling speaker as a young man. He also can be somewhat interesting when he brings up rhetoric borrowed from Dean.

But speaking as a Dean fan, if the rumors are true about Dean backing Edwards at some point, I think I'll be backing Kerry all the same.

With George & the r's screaming "9/11!" "terrorism!", Kerry has the authority to tell them to stick that business up their back-ends, and will do it, too.

Maybe he'll even point out that if the Republicans are so good with defense, than why are we in such a tub of crap, and why did 9/11 happen in the first place, oh great protectors?

I think he and Clark are the only two who can drive this new truth home without the nasty-mouthed spinners being able to destroy the message: The Republican party is no longer the party of a strong defense. In fact, they are absolutely lousy at it. They don't even provide proper protections for our troops in Iraq.

Kerry's not animated, but I feel there is power in his words. Tonight was no exception IMO.
