kerry support among dems nationaly slips in last three days

February 17, 2004--For the first time since winning in Iowa, Massachusetts Senator John Kerry has seen his national poll numbers slip. The latest Rasmussen Reports national tracking poll shows that Kerry now attracts support from 43% of the nation's Democrats, down from 51% three days ago.
North Carolina Senator John Edwards is a distant second but gaining. The North Carolina Senator now attracts support from 25% of the nation's Democrats, up from 18% three days ago.

Decided in last week:
Edwards 45% Kerry 30%

Before that:
Kerry 52% Edwards 21%

The polls weren't wrong, Edwards just closed quickly. Could be localalized to WI, but this national poll seems to agree.

6. well I LOVE Kerry and will provide evidence why he's the man

to take down Bush. I'm sure false charges about "Hanoi Jane" involvement, affairs with interns, etc. didn't have ANYTHING to do with it.

Maybe Toricelli contributed money to somebody on behalf of Dean or Edwards to get those rumors started, eh?

8. Today's results...

...seem to confirm the accuracy of that poll. Edwards, who trailed by over 40 points among Democrats in Wisconsin, cut the deficit to 15% in about a week. What we are seeing now is the same "buyer's remorse" that occurred after the honeymoon Dean enjoyed after the Gore endorsement ended.
