How Does Dean Deal With the Edwards Phenomenon Now?
Dean seems close to dropping out, but he also seems to be trying very hard to find a way to keep his energy and movement going. Somehow I don't think it will be going to Kerry.
Can he work out a deal of some sort with Edwards? Would Edwards accept? Do the two complement each other?
he's only been in the Senate two years. I like his economic and populist bent even though I am concerned about his positions on Iraq. Whatever his faults, I have not seen him waffle or bend to popular opinion.
He needs to become a Jesse Jackson type figure, in the sense of spreading general message. He says he is committed to de-selecting * and persuading his supporters to keep their energy and commitment together is the best he can do now.
He gave the party a voice and now he has to give voice to how that voice can translate into success in November.
He should continue to the convention. First, he still has a chance. Second, he will continue to tell what he believes which is invaluable for the nominee and the party.
