Why is Edwards the weakest candidate?
Edited on Tue Feb-17-04 10:12 PM by mot78
Granted that he's only been in the Senate for a few years, but his role on the Intelligence Committee gives him more forgien policy experience than * had in 2000, and he has delt with important legislation. Plus, he's been consistent with his record, unlike Kerry, who intellectually makes good arugements about his stands, doesn't stand a chance in this anti-intellectual, sound-bite culture of ours.

(BTW I'm still neutral about supporting a candidate other than Clark)

1. He's not.
We had a whole slate of candidates who could wallop Bush. Edwards is one of them.

3. No Executive Experience. No Foreign Policy EXPERIENCE
Little Domestic Policy experience.

Little depth of knowledge.

Edwards has been consistent? HAHAHAHAHAHA

10. Why Should That Count For Something? It Is Not EXPERIENCE
in actually negotiating etc.

Further, Edwards didn't even serve a full term before running.

Essentially, he is a personal injury lawyer who is good at manipulating people with not a lot of relevant expereience in handling an Executive Office such as POTUS.

8. Do you support anyone???? Or, is this
just something you do???? It's a lot easier to take potshots at others' candidates, than to build your guy up, I suppose.

11. Not Since Clark Dropped. Now I Just Call Em As I See Em
and Edwards has always been one of the weaker candidates whom Republicans were voting for in Open Primaries.

17. What about Kerry?
Where is his executive experience?

What is his domestic policy experience?

"Little depth of knowledge" is a personal attack upon a Democratic candidate.

I have heard both Edwards and Kerry discuss the Equal Protection issue. Judging by their discussions of the state of the law, however, I would have to say that Kerry is the least informed of the two, on that issue anyway. Something else to consider is that Kerry is a Legacy Admittee just like Bush.

Like I have said in earlier threads, none of the candidates have any experience that is directly relevant to what they would be doing as President. That does not mean, however, that they would not make great Presidents. Certainly they all would be better than Bush.

But if "executive experience" is what you want, you would be voting for Bush, not Kerry or Edwards. Think about that.

4. Edward is now the favorite because of Kerry's philandering
People are just sick of having to think about the intern thing again. It's too soon for that and Kerry should have thought of that before throwing his hat into the ring. This whole thing pisses me off so much.

16. George Will on Hannity ...

George Will was on Hannity tonight. I really don't like George Will OR Hannity. But George Will called the Polien story COMPLETELY false. He talked a little about what SHOULD end up in the "mainstream" media.

Hannity tried to put some spin that these "marginal" news sources get most things right. George really didn't touch that.

Of course, we know that MOST of the Clinton scandals were absolute bumpkis.

Half a loaf = Edwards
no loaf = Kerry

Jobs against "National Security".

What good is it going to do for me to be "secured" while I am starving, I would rather be dead instead.
