CNN: Edwards strong showing. Cannot call it.

No projection.

Projects Dean a distant third. Based on exit polls.

10. Clark should have stayed in
Edwards just proved that he does not, does not want the VP slot. After this there is no way Kerry will even consider Edwards for the VP. Better than expected does not constitute a win. Edwards does not have enough experience, the Repukes would eat Edwards for luch. Less than 4 years in the senate and NO military experience or National security experience.

12. Even if he wins
Edited on Tue Feb-17-04 09:08 PM by incapsulated
It would need to turn into Edwardsmania across the country for him to catch up on Super Tuesday.

*edit* And you should know, as a Clark supporter, that if Clark won WI, they would play it down so much it would look like a loss.

20. If Edwards wins WI
I think he could change some people's minds and make it a closer race, imo

22. It would be closer
But he still has a lot of ground to make up.

It also depends on the media. If they play this up as a new race, and are bored with Kerry, it could get interesting.

13. Edwards has served for 5 years in the Senate
Plus, he serves on the Intelligence Committee. That is more experience than Bush had when he became president. But, maybe that doesn't mean very much.

Kerry won democrats
Edwards won independents

15. so Kerry will win by 6-8 points instead of 40
Kerry still wins. The media is now desperate to keep the primary going.

16. Dang. Go Edwards.
Wish Dean would be doing better, but the media said he lost before any votes were cast.

18. This is no annointment!
I keep saying that it's only fair to let the remaining 75% of primary voters speak their mind.

If (and I don't think he should) Dean decides to shift his movement to a 527, then it will be a 2 person race and that is what Kerry must fear the most.

The debate before super tuesday would be huge!

Go Edwards Go!
