7. The primaries are not over.
As has been said so often on this forum, only about 25% of the delegates have been chosen.

Keep kicking us while were down, though. That's how you unite people.

15. I don't see anyone pointing out the differences between Kerry and Clark
or between Kerry and Gephardt, here. WHy?

Because those candidates dropped out and endorsed Kerry.

Once Dean drops out, there will be no reason for any Kerry supporter to highlight the differences between Kerry and Dean.

17. It's not pointing out differences.
It's just a bunch of BS anti-Dean propaganda

21. Your characterization is false.

If you want to take issue with the facts presented, this would be a good place to do it.

3. You've gotta have something better than a PDF.
I mean... it's just too much effort for me. Opera doesn't support the Adbode p[lugin and I don't feel like downloading the file permanently.

i encourage dean people to hit back with facts and quotes. everyone is saying that dean isn't getting his points across, why heres your chance. Work for your candidate, i have been since OCT.

14. I've researched the candidates and fought against these
Bullshit propaganda smears for a year.

Didn't do a lick of good, as nobody cares about the issues, only "electability".

13. Two out of three quotes at the top
(Washington Times and David Brooks) are conservative sources - that doesn't help your case.

16. well, off the top of my head
one Kerry misstatement leaps out at me : "took no (special interest) PAC money":

Eight Months After Voting To Ban National Party Soft Money, Kerry Created His Own Soft Money Committee Called Citizen Soldier Fund, Which Accepted Large Corporate Soft Money Contributions. (S. 27, CQ Vote #64: Passed 59-41: R 12-38; D 47-3, 4/2/01, Kerry Voted Yea; Year End 2001 Report For Citizen Soldier Fund - Non-Federal Account, IRS Website, http://www.irs.gov/, Accessed 1/29/04)

Created His Own Hard Money PAC, Also Called Citizen Soldier Fund, Which Raised Over $700,000. (Federal Election Commission Website, www.fec.gov, Accessed 2/10/04)

22. Don't forget
Kerry recieved $73,784 in PAC for his presidential campaign - more than any other candidate left in the race.

24. Except
the Citizen Soldier Fund has not contributed to Kerry's campaign. It raised money for other candidates. Kerry has taken no money from the Citizen Soldier Fund.

19. Not sure who authored this
but I would research the PAC statement. Kerry actually took PAC money... I think it was WAY WAY back, but he has stated he did. Now, it would be correct to say that in all four of his senate runs, he never took PAC money.

This is not a slam from me here, but before this flyer is distributed, at the very least, Kerry's claims should be substantiated and irrefutable.

Oh yes, one more thing: this is a tough time for the Dean supporters. I don't mean to say that we should not all compare the candidates records on this or that, but maybe tonight was not the best time for this. Just food for though.

28. "Debate"
How would you know what DU was founded on, oh great member since Feb. 13?

I beg to differ. DU was founded on discussion and mutual loathing of the BFEE. DU's tradition is one of discussion, not debate. Only those whose egos demand gratification from being seen as a "winner" in the posting sweepstakes need debate.

25. Nothing wrong with the content
It contrasts the two candidates, which is allowed. Just primary nights are very emotionally charged and your best bet is kindness itself. So, delete it if you still can, and wait for a better time. Just my advice. :)

26. Time to stop worrying about the differences.
Time to be pulling for a Democrat to beat Dubya.

But time to keep the media focused on Democrats, too -- keep the primary season going for as long as possible. Consider how many millions of dollars in differences in campaign funding that attention negates.

27. Not time for pulling together.
Only time for the primaries. At the convention THEN we go for pulling together.
