Poll question: What is the most important consideration when picking a VP?
There have been a number of threads about this recently, so let's see where we stand:

These are all important factors, but which one of these should be the most important consideration in choosing a VP this year?

5. Stepping into President's Role
Everything else is icing on the cake.

If the Veep candidate cannot fill the constitutional role well, then what does any of it matter?

We have enough people in the party who are qualified for this role, that I don't see it as a problem, unless some people want to make it so.

Among the people I feel are very qualified: Wes Clark, Bill Richardson, Richard Gebhardt & others.

10. Yes, everything else is secondary.

And I've heard Kerry say this as well.

6. VP Debate Election 2000
It seemed like a chat between two close friends.

Less chit chat. More on issues such as Iraq and Haliburton. We need a VP candidate that's going to get in Chaney face and confront him about the money, the Haliburton money.

My 2 cents.

8. #1: Background check.
Avoiding embarassments (think Eagleton) is probably the most important thing to do

12. ...Looks like people really want to beat Bush...
Interesting that this poll comes out with electability on top. Maybe DU isn't so out of touch with the general population?
