It seems Republicans are overwhelmingly homosexual but against gay rights.
While the Democrats are primarily heterosexual but for gay rights.

Gay Democrats also seem to be honest about their orientation while Republicans are all living behind lying facades.

Seems strange.

(I know 'overwhelmingly' isn't really accurate but it is the impression I am getting from the media.)

1. I don't believe they are homosexual
they are perverts, sexually repressed by the constraints they put on themselves with values, and God and strutting around so holier then thou. Grand Old Perverts.

They are called 'Log Cabin' Republicans......a complete hypocrisy,

that they say one thing, then do the same................

3. They are also supposedly overwhelmingly Christian, yet
exhibit anti-Christian attitudes/behavior, are supposedly pro-our troops yet won't provide them the equipment they need and cut our vets' benefits, many of the repub voters are poor or working class yet vote for the party most hell-bent on depriving them, etc etc.... I've about given up on trying to understand these people.

4. Think about the words you are using.
The word for such perverse people is perverted.
They are not "homosexual" in the normal sense, they are perverts.

5. On perversion
There was some movie I saw that featured a male villain that raped another male character (I don't remember the title).
Anyway, later in the movie there was a psychological profile given of the villain (at that point unidentified) by a policeman. He said that the assailant was likely not homosexual, probably even had a wife and kids, and engaged in the rape as a pathological act of power and humiliation. I realize that this comes from a movie and is fiction, but psychology described felt well-researched and believable. I'm wondering if this condition applies to these Republican politicians and so-called conservatives who keep getting caught engaged in apparently (aberrant) homosexual activities.

In my house we call people like that "HYPOCRITES".

9. No, they're overwhelmingly hypocrites
They say the opposite of what they do over and over again.
