The Trial of John Kerry
I have read many disappointed by the positions Kerry has taken. Here is an interesting explanation:

I've heard of him. :)

3. "Yet today, John Kerry teeters on the edge of total irrelevancy...
"in the race for the White House"

Wow, what a difference two months make.

8. Will Pitt teeters on the edge of total irrelevancy
as a pundit/predictor. Although, to be fair, you never completely and TOTALLY wrote Kerry off- maybe just 95%.

9. Yeah, you and just about everyone else on the planet Earth.
Probably including John Kerry! (Ok, maybe not....)

10. Well, I got this part right
The punditocracy spent a good portion of their TV time on Tuesdsay declaring Kerry’s candidacy all but dead, while anointing Dean as the sure-fire eventual nominee. This may prove to be true, but not one primary vote has been cast yet. January becomes the proving ground. In the interim, you’ll find John Kerry on the campaign trail. His performance in Franken’s living room last Thursday, the tenor of his recent speeches, and his gladiator memories of his 1996 Senate race against William Weld, all indicate one simple thing. If John Kerry is going down, he is going down swinging.

11. The key was: "not one primary vote has been cast".
We (most of us, at least) made the ever-so-common mistake of assuming that the polls were indicative of things to come.

To borrow from another industry, past performance is not necessarily an indicator of future results!

5. Reading this has made me stop mourning for Clark....I think Kerry is just
as much of an internationalist as Clark is, after reading this...As a non-American I hope for an American president who sees the United States as part of the world and not as a law unto itself...Go Kerry!

6. Pthhht!
Old news. I see a lot of positives in that "trial" myself.

I'm sure Mr. Pitt would love to re-comment. A different light would shine, I assure you. Most Americans don't give a shit about his vote on Iraq. It's Bush's damn quagmire!
