A counter article to all the Hillary bashing:
I thought I might share this article from the The Atlantic that is extremely in depth, and fairly thought provoking. It talks about her involvement in a certain religious group, her involvement in health care and the Senate. And it's from 2006 (eat your heart out Mother Jones).

This is the full article, 11 web pages in all. I think it helps portray, (IMHO opinion rightly so), Hillary's action in a different light than a lot of other articles. If nothing else, why not read it to get a really good idea of how Hillary is perceived outside of our little vacuum bubble.

You’re not supposed to think about lofty spiritual affairs in terms so temporal as their political importance. But among the prayer groups, one holds special status: a tight-knit gathering of about a dozen senators which still meets every Wednesday morning for prayer and discussion, led by Douglas Coe himself. Each week, someone starts the meeting by giving personal testimony, secure in the support of the audience. Once, Senator Dan Coats stood before the group and sang “Jesus Loves Me, This I Know.”

The roster of regular participants has included such notable conservative names as Brownback, Santorum, Nickles, Enzi, and Inhofe. Then, in 2001, just after the new class of senators was sworn in, another name was added to the list: Hillary Rodham Clinton.

One spring Wednesday, a few months into the term, Senator Sam Brownback’s turn came to lead the group, and he rose intending to talk about a recent cancer scare. But as he stood before his colleagues Brownback spotted Clinton, and was overcome with the impulse to change the subject of his testimony. “I came here today prepared to share about this experience in my life that has caused great suffering, the result of which has deepened my faith,” Brownback said, according to someone who watched the scene unfold. “But I’m overcome now with only one thought.” He confessed to having hated Clinton and having said derogatory things about her. Through God, he now recognized his sin. Then he turned to her and asked, “Mrs. Clinton, will you forgive me?” Clinton replied that she would, and that she appreciated the apology.

“It was an extraordinary moment,” the member told me.

3. Wow, that's harsh.
I don't even LIKE her and that's harsh. I don't see her as a waitress at Burger King at all... General Manager, maybe... ;)

5. Whoa -- you meant this as a POSITIVE post on Hillary?
Clinton is part of secret Christiban group that includes some of the sleaziest theocrats in government and this is supposed to make us feel BETTER??

You may want to read up on St. Hillary's little prayer group before you try to help her out anymore

7. Wow, did you pick the wrong example
Let's see, you're trying to counter the (airquote)Hillary Bashers(/airquotes) by telling us all how chummy she is with the radical christian jihadis? Boy, I feel better now.

8. Acually, no I didn't.
I see you didn't read the article. And you of course realize that not to long ago we were not the majority in the senate? Of course, I'm sure attempting to make allies and minimize the hostility of potential enemies is a totally absurd thing to do in politics, silly me.

The article explores context, something that seems to be forgotten sometimes.

Hillary ain't my first choice, but it seems to me we've got the spin cycle a bit high here lately, especially considering where we were two years ago. Or have we all forgotten?

10. Yes, silly you
You don't make friends with monsters. You defeat them. It's this kind of wuss-ass make-nice-with-everyone sensibility that makes it so difficult for middle america to support Democrats.

11. It's easier to defeat a monster if it thinks your its friend.
As opposed to showing up on it's door armed to the teeth screaming 'die you!'.

9. At first this scared the shit out of me.
Now, all I can do is

:puke:
:puke::puke:
:puke::puke::puke:
:puke::puke::puke::puke:
:puke::puke::puke::puke::puke:

There is no way you can spin this to ever make me see it in a positive light. Not even if hell freezes over.
