Assuming primary elections are held, who else is voting for Dennis Kucinich?
I also voted for him in the 2004 Wisconsin primary, the unelectable Democratic Presidential candidate, Dennis Kucinich.

Just check into this thread.

4. We will caucus for him
if Gore does not run. My PCO was/is/has always been a knowledgeable Kucinich supporter. She has been a very good voice for him in our precinct for a while now.

My partner and I will caucus with her and hopefully she (PCO) will be a Kucinich delegate at the State Convention (Washington).

8. He's the one.
He stands for everything I believe in. I feel the need to qualify my answer. But to be honest, I'm voting my heart this time. I am not going to vote on who might be best suited to accomplish goals once in office. I think the talk that Dennis is too idealistic to get anything done when in office is hogwash. I cannot see any reason why I would not vote for him. And I think that even includes Gore running.

225. Why all this if Gore doesn't run??
Gore is already bought and paid for too, he is not going to stand up for the American public over corporations the way Dennis does. If it is all his talk about the environment then you should still be looking at Dennis. Dennis is ready to end the war on drugs and legalize hemp. Hemp never has been and never will be a drug, but that one plant can do more to help the environment quickly than anything else can. It can be used for everything form paper to gas, can be grown almost anywhere in the world, would be a great new crop for farmers to grow. This would also be a big boost to our economy and could get us off foreign oil too. You have never and will never hear gore talk of even making hemp legal though, and if he knows as much about the environment as he claims to he knows this too. Gore will pander to big business and the rich just like the rest of the corporate whores will.

Plenty of info to back up everything I have said about Hemp and Gore.

I think you just saw the words hemp and legalize, and decided to shoot off at the mouth while having no clue what you are talking about. Maybe you will be able to ready it all this time before you have another stupid reaction.

If hemp had never been made illegal we wouldn't be in most of the crap we are now since HEMP CAN BE USED TO MAKE GAS, and very easily. That is also one way it could help stop global warming you know since burning fossil fuels is creating lots of the problem. It can also be used for other things too like paper (trees), better paper than is made form trees too and plastic (oil again). Hemp can also be used for food (very good for you food too)and many other things. It would give American farmers a crop to grow too, instead of being subsidized by our tax dollars not to grow things. You just need to educate yourself a little before you pop off and show how much of a fool you are.

In case you still can't figure it out, legalizing hemp would be a very big step in helping with some of the biggest problems we do have. So YES with the problems we have these days legalizing hemp should be getting lots of focus. Any other questions??

238. Also want to add
That laws prohibiting hemp & marijuana are completely unconstitutional. So any candidate not against ending the money wasting, unconstitutional 'War on Drugs' is not standing up for the constitution as they promise to do.

105. Same reason Duncan Hunter does.
A massively skewed district. He would have no chance in a statewide election let alone a national one. It's not a media conspiracy. Anyone who cares enough to be polled as a likely Democratic primary voter (the apathetic barely vote in generals let alone primaries, and certainly don't self-identify as likely primary voters 6 months in advance) knows enough to make an informed decision. Dennis gets 2-3% for a reason.

154. I always sent at least 201 dollars
That way I get counted on the Federal Elections Commission web site as a Kucinich donor. All donations over 200 dollars must get acknowledged on the FEC donors list. 200 dollars is considered a major donor. Seeing our names there just makes us proud. They can look you up by zip code and you can boast to your friends. I am a Kucinich donor. This year, not sure we can donate as much as we did four years ago. Hope so. Because our 201 dollars was just our starter fund.

42. those who REALLY wants to help the Kucinich campaign...NOW IS THE TIME TO DONATE!!

you can do it RIGHT NOW on DU/Act Blue.

If those who care about the issues Mr. Kucinich raises donate NOW – HE WILL BE

A TOP-TIER CANDIATE!!

I'm not addressing those who do not support Congressman Dennis Kucinich

and do not agree with him on the issues. I'm addressing those who DO

support Congressman Kucinich and/or do agree with him on the issues:

Donating to the Kucinich 2008 campaign through DU/ACT Blue is very fast.

It's very easy. Do it now!

link:

http://www.actblue.com/entity/fundraisers/12518
---------

Some are supporting Congressman Kucinich because they strongly believe he can win. Others are supporting him because they support his agenda (or at least most of it) and want those issues brought to the center of public debate.

Mr. Kucinich does not have the funding of the top-tier candidates. Corporate lobbyist seeking government favoritism for their special interest won’t be writing their $2300 checks paying for access like they do for other candidates. But small donations DO add up very, very fast. That's how the Dean campaign became a significant force in 2004.

So whether or not you are convinced that Congressman Kucinich could possibly win...if you want the issues only Dennis Kucinich raises brought to the public square, if you believe his message of Strength through Peace is important, that the whole question of corporate control of government is important, that single-payer universal health care is important, if you believe American needs fundamental changes; his campaign needs a lot more money then it has in its coffers now.

IF anywhere near half the people who agree with Congressman Dennis Kucinich on the issues sent him a donation -- he would be a major top-tier contender very, very fast:

Donating through DU/ACT Blue is very fast. It's very easy. Do it now! I did...

link:

http://www.actblue.com/entity/fundraisers/12518

He won't be getting a whole lot from the corporate lobbyist buying access for their special interest and paying for favoritism... so ...

PLEASE DONATE NOW ! you can do it RIGHT NOW on DU/Act Blue.

It's fast. It's very easy. Do it now! I did…..

I was a delegate for Kucinich after our precinct caucuses in 2004, and I plan to be one again!

I see no other candidate that even makes sense among the Democrats, including Gore.

Kucinich has the vision, the wisdom and the integrity to salvage what is left of democracy here in the ol' U S of A.

and I are all voting for him. He's right on the issues, he is a straight talker, and the only one who I feel 100% confidence in.

He gets my primary vote, and -- if Hillary is our nominee -- my general election vote, as well. Since the last election, I have declared that 2008 will be my "tough love" year for the Dems -- and I am sticking with that.

It clearly goes without saying that they don't deserve progressive support in the primaries, and that the only worthwhile convention to have is one with a lot of delegates who are free to argue for and vote for a progressive platform.

232. to be fair to Richardson, the comments in that debate with HRC
were not about "gay rights" but about whether he thought homosexuality a choice.

While I don't think it is a choice, I don't care what a candidate thinks about that as long as that candidate stands up for the rights, and I believe he did.

I think that he's the only one of the candidates (outside of Gravel) who will meaningfully change the way the US is governed. The rest of the candidates seem to be heading down the same path we're currently going down, albeit with a slightly toned down rhetoric and a few domestic concessions thrown out to appease the base.

110. I am voting for Kucinich for these 3 reasons:
1) he unequivocally supports impeachment
2) he unequivocally supports withdrawing troops NOW.
3) he unequivocally supports universal healthcare.

No other candidate has taken such a position on even 1 of these issues, let alone all three.

If Gore were to enter the race and take these same positions (or even 2 out of 3), I would vote for him instead.

I just sent him money. He was right from the start about Bush's war and was the only candidate telling the truth about it in 2004.
He hasn't said much I disagree with, said a lot I agred with and its important to me that he's not the media chosen candidate.
Any Democrat but Hilary is OK with me but Kucinich is my choice. (i'd vo0te for Hilary anyyway if she's our candidate but I would not like it) I made the mistake of supprting Kerry instead of Kucinich last time and regrettted it. I won't make that mistake again twice.

I voted for him in the NC primary in 2004 too (not that it mattered much back then...). Nevertheless, DK is viable AND electable in my world.

I actually disagree with DK on the issues around gun control, but that's not stopping me from voting for him. If he wins, I'll just become more active on RKBA issues. It's far better than Hillary getting elected and having to fight over corporate power, health care, environment, war, etc. AND RKBA issues on top of all that.

211. I am (and so is my mother) ... unless Gore gets in the race.
Edited on Tue Aug-21-07 08:32 PM by BattyDem
After the AFL-CIO debate, I decided that I would vote for Kucinich in the primary. At the moment, he is the only candidate who seems to care more about people than politics and more about country than corporations. (Yes, I believe Edwards cares ... but I trust Kucinich more.) I like certain things about Clinton, Obama and Edwards ... but I like everything about Dennis. B-)

My mother didn't know anything about Kucinich. She heard me mention his name a few times, but she never saw him or heard him speak. She watched the AFL-CIO debate with me and she said, "I want that guy!" :-)

Of course, we both love Al Gore, so if he decides to run, he will get our votes in the primary ... but right now, those votes belong to Dennis. :D

On edit: You know ... my mother wasn't familiar with Dennis Kucinich at all. However, she saw him in one debate and he won her over. Imagine how many people he could win over if the debates were truly designed to allow the voters to get to know EVERY candidate so that they could make an informed choice at the polls. Most of these debates separate the candidates into two tiers, which makes no sense because the whole point of a primary is to allow voters to decide who the "top tier" candidates are. The way things are, it's the media who makes those decisions. :-(

Like actually ending the war, and not selling out to Corporate America:eyes: Then there is that really quirky notion, actually doing what the people of America want done, you know, things like ending NAFTA and instituting UHC.

Frankly, if that's quirky, I'll take it anyday over the corporate friendly actions of Hillary and the rest, twice on Sundays.

224. That isn't going to affect my vote for DK, nor demand for impeachment.
I'm curious as to what "our agenda" is that you mentioned though, as an independent voter that has worked for Democratic candidates and campaigns since 1968 and was active in many programs (especially civil rights) to advance agendas that this criminal administration has virtually reversed in just 6 years-(like Nazis) why would "most elected Democrats" capitulate to that?

Dennis doesn't, he's been consistent about that even when it took him out of politics for years. And he is a loyal Democrat. He's got my vote, again, and my grass roots abilities especially when it comes to removing these criminals and traitors from offices that they were installed in via corruption.

Restoring our Constitution, Bill of Rights and accountability under law is not a "wasted effort" and I'll NGU on that.

IMPEACH CHENEY FIRST.

Its time to put shoulder to the wheel and actually come up with some solutions.
