the cracks are beginning to show-Domenici (R-OilWhore) is calling for change in Iraq
War in Iraq

Concerning the war in Iraq, Domenici said he is definitely in complete support of the troops and he thinks they are doing a great job, but the time is coming for possible changes.

"We are getting close to a time when some change is going to be necessary," he said. "I have supported the president, but I told him I am entitled to think this through and it is clear to me that something new and different has to be done."

Domenici said he would not be part of an arbitrary. But, he added, that there is a current plan supported by 15-16 senators that he thinks could be a good plan.

"I think it could be a very good transitional program," Domenici said. "We cannot rely on the Iraqi's because they have not been able to do anything significant. This plan with (fellow senators) (Pete) Salazar, D-Colo., and (Lamar) Alexander, R-Tenn, makes recommendations that do not rely on the Iraqis."

1. If that old fossil is calling for "changes" and his fellow
GOPs have come up with some marvelous plan, you can be damned sure it involves throwing more lives and money into that hellhole of a war.

This really is Vietnam all over again. Trust me, these old hawks only want to escalate it.

2. Why is a Republican suggestion a "transitional program," but
a Democratic suggestion is "cut and run?" These people make me want to puke. Their "strategy" is more about winning the next election than ending this unlawful, fiasco of a war. Our poor soldiers - Dubya's pawns.

3. *Gasp* How in the world can you say you support the troops,
but still criticize the president's plan? Inconceivable!
